Hotel Riu Santa Fe - All Inclusive

"The food was good enough. A lot of variety but if you are staying for more than 5 days having the same breakfast gets old. There was a great variety in dinner, Italian wasn’t good at all, the steakhouse has a long waiting line and not worth it. We thought it was going to be a buffet of different meats. I feel like the food was good enough for it to be an all inclusive. The rooms were always clean. We would find hairs everywhere. The bed is comfortable and so are the pillows but you only get 2. The sheets and bedding were very simple, I didn’t like them. The ac worked great. The hotel does not have elevators! So a positive for us was that it made us workout. But not convenient for elderly or a family with little ones. The facility is definitely maintained very well. Everything in Cabo and at the hotel is EXPENSIVE. A small lighter was $8 and sunscreen bottle is $33. We did find sandals that were not ours in our rooms, we were asked to report it, which we did, but no one followed up. No one even came back for them. We left them outside our room. It sucked that we couldn’t go over to the Roy Palace but they could come to our resort. The hotel doesn’t have a shuttle to the airport. If you get an uber you have to meet them outside of the hotel and go up and down a hill. Shuttle to the airport cost $80. Be careful because they add more than the 10% gratuity if you use a card."

"When we first arrived there was a huge group of people that made it feel that we had booked at Carnival Cruises. I was looking for a quiet getaway and it was not what I had expected. Unfortunately, my room was adjacent to where they were partying and being just awful. I went to the front desk and explained that I wasn't happy with the location. Each manager there went out of their way to find us a new room, moved our bags for us and then checked in to see how we were. The move made a 1000% difference! The group was there only for the weekend and we just went to the adjacent resorts during that time. How the staff handled them with such grace is unbelievable. The resort is immaculate - everyone works very hard to make your stay absolutely perfect. I read that tips are included and many people don't. But PLEASE try to always leave something for at the end of every meal, drinks, and room service. These ladies and gentlemen work very very hard to provide a beautiful experience for us and every person that helped us was patient, gracious and always had a smile. In the US, tips are EXPECTED for service not even close what this resort provides. We will be back!"

"Overall amazing experience. Staff was at your service & guided you any & every where needed. The views were beautiful. Youre about a 5 min walk to beach if that. & close to everything. If you are looking to experience the resort, make reservations prior or upon arrival. Cant wait to go back. Chuy, Mike, Miguel, Angi, guapo and issac were amazing! To say the least. Rooftop experience was amazing as well, (don’t remember names) Would def recommend."

"The resort is beautiful, and the grounds are well maintained. The location is excellent. Rooms definitely need updating. There was only 1-2 english television stations to watch, and part of the time the channels didn’t come in at all. I didn’t like seeing all the dirty dishes and food littering the hallways, There were lots of food choices, and for the most part the food was good. They definitely need more than one bartender out at the outside bar, but the pool servers were great, they really work their butt off and want to make sure you’re happy. Overall we’d visit this resort again, and we had a good time"

"Signing after every meal or drinks ordered after it being all inclusive is strange. Not having disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste or q tips included in the amenities is also a bummer. Or having to get picked up by an uber outside of the security gate, property premises because they’re not allowed in, are all small inconveniences that add up to the experience. The sales pitch for a tour of another property and spa right at the beginning at check in is also not a good way to start after just arriving from a flight and drive."
