The trees behind the wall are very important. They are called the Trees of Life. Inspiring Shaker artisans, theologians, and spirituality for years. they represent beliefs on life unity, spiritual growth, and connect to beliefs of heavenly works. They are apple trees, producing fruit in the fall.

On this site from 1800-1900 Shakers called this beautiful farm home. raising cattle, making wooden furniture, and preaching. This was their lake and wall to partition their land from the next farm. This is a wonderful village, vibrant with artisans during the summer where you can learn crafts, buy locally made products, and participate in events. From 9 Am-6 PM each day they have interactive exhibits, cultural programs, and traditional food.
