"The room was clean and quite appealing. Because we were the only guests, we had the shared bathroom and toilet for ourselves. There was also a little private deck associated with the room which was great. The owners seemed to be nice but there was not much interaction happening as they kept to themselves. Room was very clean and the owner was kind and accommodating! I was a bit skeptic of staying in this town, but it's a quaint town that's a nice switch from CBD. This stay exceeded my expectations.

Great location and staff!
I played on 8 golf courses within a 15 mile radius during my two-week stay.
Also took a 45-minute bus ride into Christchurch on Christmas Day from a bus-stop 5 minutes from the motel.
And boarded the TranzAlpine scenic rail train at a station 10-minutes away.
Walked to McDonald's, KFC, and New World grocery and other shops within minutes.
Sarah, the owner/manager made several special efforts to make my extended stay very comfortable.
