The week between Christmas and New Years is WAY TOO CROWDED and I would never go back during that week. This was my second visit to Brussels, and it's a great city and an excellent jumping off point for other European cities.
Take time in Quartier du Centre - Centrumwijk to visit attractions like La Grand Place and Rue des Bouchers. You might also appreciate the interesting museums, and you can hop on the metro at Bourse-Beurs Station to see more of the city.
Known for its fascinating museums and fun breweries, there's plenty to explore in Lower Town. You can visit top attractions like La Grand Place and Hotel de Bellevue, and jump on the metro at Bourse-Beurs Station or De Brouckere Station to see more of the city.
Enjoy the fantastic nightlife in Upper Town. Parlamentarium is a worthwhile stop, and you can jump on the metro at Maalbeek-Maelbeek Station or Arts-Loi - Kunst-Wet Station to see more of Brussels.
Travelers choose Ixelles for its abundant dining options. Hop aboard the metro at Dautzenberg Tram Stop or Flagey Tram Stop and check out top sights like Avenue Louise.
While visiting Grand-Place, you might make a stop by sights like La Grand Place and Royal Theatre Toone.
Noted for its coffeehouses and shopping, there's plenty to explore in Sint-Gillis. Top attractions like Brussels South Railway Station and Saint Gilles Town Hall are major draws, and you can hop on the metro at Bethléem Tram Stop or Guillaume Tell Tram Stop to see more of the city.

Our trip was cut short because of the travel ban but i will definitely come back again!

Getting around Belgium is very easy & for someone from CA, nothing is all that far away. Brussells is a place full of history & beautiful architechture, breweries & little cafes. I found the people to be friendly & very accepting of foreigners.
