"Our stay at the villa was the icing on the cake after a month long vacation in Italy and Mediterranean cruise. Cecilia was a gracious host and we feel we have made a new friend. "The host was very welcoming upon arrival and gave us a great tour of the property along with some area history. Such a peaceful setting. Really enjoyed the patio upstairs off the bedroom. "Montisi is a quaint village that is anywhere from 10 minutes to one hour drive to fabulous hill towns and wine tasting. The house is simple but charming. We spent most of our time while at the house by the pool, dining on the terrace and enjoying the beautiful views and sunsets. The kitchen is well appointed and with 4 women, we each enjoyed having our own bathroom. Luigi is a gracious host and provides excellent recommendations. I have every intention of returning! "Nice house suitable for a family of 3-4. Two bed rooms, one with a double bed. Living room and well equipped kitchen. Very cozy property a kilometer or so from the town center. The host family lives in another house on the same property, and are very nice and hospitable, while not being intruding in any way. "Where to even begin? We loved everything about our stay. Stefania was wonderful, and responsive to our many questions before we even arrived. Upon arrival, it felt like a dream. The Villa is beautiful, private, and expansive. The property is huge, with lots of olive trees, fig trees, and places for the kids to play and explore. "Nice enough property, very clean. You need to reconfigure furniture in living room so more people can sit. Ok for 2 people but not really inviting and comfortable. Don't need the dining table in that room or that huge hutch. More wine glasses and bowls needed. Update master bedroom mattress. Very uncomfortable. Grounds very enjoyable! Property manager very responsive and helpful. Not really walkable up to hilltop. Reason for the lower rating is the house is over 200 years old...

"Quiet, charming location which was central for day trips to Monte San Savino, Florence, Lucca, Pisa, Cortona, Montepulciano and many other villages in Tuscany. The pool was lovely, gazebo had honeysuckle and other flowering vines surrounding it which was a nice location to get out of the sun. Many olive trees surround the house and we did manage to see a wild boar, many geckos, birds and even a snake."

"We had the most amazing time at Il Poggio! The property is well maintained, Roberta and Marina were incredible, and the location could not be beat. We took day trips (by car) to Siena, Arezzo, Florence, Orvieto, and Montalcino, all of which were easily and quickly accessible. "Absolutely superb hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. We had two delicious meals cooked by Linda and we left with her homemade limoncello and olive oil. Peaceful, beautiful grounds with wonderful walks straight from the house. Tennis club 5 min drive away, and a local train station that whisked us off to Florence for the day. Don't miss Snoopy's gelato in the local town. This holiday was a 5* experience."

"A terrific property in Cortona that should not be missed. A fantastic location to town requiring an uphill but not overwhelming walk or 5 minute drive to parking. The house is welcoming and stays very cool even on a warm day. Beautiful views and grounds with a comfortable pool. Wonderful place to base a trip and enjoy day trips within Tuscany. "Have stayed in area before, but not Cortona. We were taken around the property by Nonna and her grandson. A great team. They bogg live on siteNonna was attentive but not intrusive, and always left us tomatoes and basil from her garden, but spoke no english - more of a comment about us than her as it would have been great to talk to her more fully. "This is a stunning property with a stunning view that photos simply cannot do justice to. My only reservation was the very poor directions to find it and some difficulty getting a hot water issue sorted out . The garden is stunningly beautiful and lavender bushes a hive of activity for bees and gorgeous butterflies that did not desturb us in any way even when standing in their midst observing them closely. "We had a fantastic week in this lovely villa. It really does have everything you could possibly need - a real home from home. Lots of lovely spaces inside and out to enjoy. We loved sitting out in the evenings having dinner and we’re lucky to be there during the Perseus meteor shower and saw lots of shooting stars in the clear skys. "Such a quaint home, clean, quiet and beautiful. Close to the center of the very small town of Montepulciano. The host is very sweet and even cooked a cake to welcome us to their home. The view of the valley from the home is simply breathtaking."

"Nous avons loué une maison avec piscine mais nous n'avons pu utiliser la piscine que deux jours, dimanche et lundi (impraticable mardi et mercredi, eau trouble et très chlorée jeudi et vendredi). "This house is very nice. It is centrally located outside Siena and good location to explore all over Tuscany. It is off the beaten path so you’ll definitely need a rental car. Even just to get there. It is remote. Which is a plus but also has some drawbacks. We went in March so pool was closed. Too cold to swim. House is several levels.
