"For my "western" friends, this is a "small" place...as expected. Set that aside, because it is St. Andrews and that's what you get. This BnB style hotel and restaurant is the pinnacle of "big things come in small packages". An excellent staff, well-appointed rooms, breakfast, top-notch dinner, and you are 3 minutes walk from the 1st tee of the Old Course. It really doesn't get better than this. It's a golfer's dream. Absolutely recommend and will love to stay here again."

"The Clevenden House is the perfect solution if you want to be near the university or town center, but want to be off the main street. It's quiet (except for rooms on alleyway where dumpsters are emptied in the morning, but that's brief). You don't need to go to the pub first if you get the code to the door and room number via the portal or email (all of that info is in reminder emails). You enter, go to room and key is on bed. Also nice to be able to leave your golf or hiking big bags in the living room on first floor while you sleep or are exploring town, even after you check out. Thank you for a wonderful stay."

"Well appointed accommodation, good quality fittings and comfortable bed , annoying issue with toilet that did not flush , changed room new room had no crockery , TV was not working, changed batteries next day all ok. Simple housekeeping issues clearly not supervised. Easy to fix though , breakfast highly priced, found good breakfast nearby at almost 40 % less. Shop around"

"Gorgeous boutique hotel in the center of town. I loved the bathroom and it's huge claw tub. The breakfast was generous and tasty. My only complaint was the lack of air conditioning. Although the area did not get very hot during our stay (max was 70f), if you run hot at night this may be uncomfortable. We did have a fan in our room. The staff and locating were excellent. There's a very nice spa on site that we did not use."

"The hotel is beautiful. The staff is first class. Super helpful and engaging. The location is amazing. Gorgeous location. St Andrew's is a beautiful seaside town. This hotel is fantastic. The concierge Neil was especially outstanding. Helped us in dinner reservations, planning our exit to Edinburgh.,, top top talent"
