"We had an overnight stay before boarding our ship the next day. Parking for me was great and complimentary but I do think there is a charge normally. At reception we were met and our cases were taken care of by the porters, receptionists x 3 were at hand for booking in. We had booked a standard room So I asked if we could upgrade and was given a superior room with balcony and views of the Solent and cheap as chips. Our cases were in the room as we got there No struggle. The bed was a king size and bathroom had bath and separate shower. My only criticism, the step up to the shower was too high for me. Dinner was at Marco Pierre White restaurant and was excellent and at a reasonable price. Our sleep was long and uninterrupted (bliss). Morning coffee provided. Our breakfast experience was one of the best we have had in Southampton say no more. Would we stay here again? Mmmmmm. You bet your life we would. Well Done!! Ken & Jill Haycock. "

"The number one thing about this property is the staff! They are helpful, compassionate and so professional. This is the best place to stay before cruising out of Southampton. As you can imagine, they are constantly dealing with people who want to check in early after an overnight international flight, or who want to check out late because they can’t board their ship until after noon. They handle it all so well. Dining room was excellent and location allowed for quick walk to High Street and the historic walls. The property is beautifully renovated and very comfortable. "

"It was all very well organised with a very good breakfast selection. The only thing at breakfast was, its now so very difficult to reach the cereals etc & then there's the big thick wooden spoons which are awkward to use & not even any where to put your bowls!! So not at all easy & I'm not short or infirm!! It definitely needs a risk assessment & with staff trying it out?"

"We cannot say enough good things about this place! We stayed there for one night before our cruise and one night after our cruise. The staff was super nice and accommodating, stored our luggage so we could explore the town. The restaurant was delicious and the rooms were spacious and clean. Taxis and Ubers are readily available and fThe hotel itself was walking distance to great restaurants and shopping and tours… we will not stay anywhere else when we return!"

"Good free parking when registered as a guest. Nice breakfast with a la carte and buffet included. Reception staff very helpful with booking tas. Room a little small compared to some other hotels we have stayed in and dates but McLean and comfortable. Two flights of stairs were a surprise but we did not specify a lower floor "
