The Red Lion 1704 is truly a historic hotel. We stayed in room one which is the oldest room in the original building. Beautifully appointed, authentic but very comfortable and clean. We love the staff here and had a really great two night stay. Cohasset is a hidden gem for sure.

This was our most pleasant surprise of our two week journey through New England. We stopped in Cohasset to be near enough to Boston to make it easy to catch our flight the next day. This was a surprisingly inexpensive. Accommodation relative to others so when we got the terrific rustic colonial room parentheses number one) we were amazed at how nice it was, spacious, and yet cozy. With an excellent bed, and refrigerator in the room and the only negative thing I would have to say about the hotel was the amount of water we had to run in the morning to get water, hot enough to shower comfortably, but eventually this came around. The staff were super helpful and friendly, and giving good advice regarding the town and the eating establishments nearby. If I were to go back to visit Boston, I would probably book a stay here and plan to take the train and the metro for transportation to and about the town, avoiding the hassle of automobile traffic.

Charming & Historic!

The breakfast was a bit of a disappointment as it was boxed, to be picked up in the lobby. However the Inn and the surrounding areas are well maintained and preserve the character of this historic Inn. Great in-house restaurant and friendly staff.
