Historic Inn right in center of town. Room was on bottom floor with easy access to rear parking lot. Bathroom did not have a fan and the water did not drain properly. Overall, it was okay.

This inn smack dab in the center of Concord is a real gem! Large, nicely appointed rooms in the original inn, plus smaller, very affordable rooms in a later addition give you a choice of a less or more formal feel. We chose a simple, less expensive room and loved all aspects— the fun in-house pub in a half-timbered room, a great dinner on the flower-filled front porch. if you want a place with ambiance in this historic town, it’s for you! Easy parking, many museums and historic sites are walkable. Lovely!

I have been coming to the Colonial Inn for over 50 years and this stay was very disappointing. There is no maid service unless requested, the old a/c unit in the wall was loud and couldn’t keep my room cool, my shower dripped warm water 24 hours a day for a week, the bar stopped serving at 8:30pm and the staff was indifferent to my requests. Only stay here if the Residence Inn in West Concord if full. It’s a real shame that this wonderful old hotel has been left to ruin.

The place was beautiful, but it was the staff that was the problem. Check in was a surprise because there are no extra fees listed for this place on Expedia, but a deposit hold for incidentals was placed on my card (although the room was already paid for). We decided to go downstairs for dinner. The hostess asked if we wanted to be seated inside or outside, and we chose outside. A waiter and a waitress passed by us multiple times. We waited for 15 minutes with no “how are you? Can I get you something to drink?”, or any acknowledgment of our presence whatsoever. We left and walked to a restaurant around the corner. I was hesitant to book this place because of the name, but the pictures were so nice I couldn’t pass it up. I thought “surely things have changed. It’s 2024!” I was wrong. We were in town for my niece’s graduation, but I don’t think we’ll ever visit the Boston area again. My boyfriend is a Red Sox and Patriots fan, but he’s hesitant to return. We’ve both traveled all over, and we’ve never been uncomfortable on our travels until we went to Boston. The racism is too loud there.
