TL;DR: Low price isn't worth the terrible, pernicious smell that will follow you for days. For the cheap price, we knew we couldn't expect high standing establishment, which is fair game. You get what you pay for, and for a short stay, we were more than fine with an old, not-so-well-maintained room and uncomfortable bed. However, no photo, no review could truly prepare us the the horrendous and pervasive smell that permeated the whole building, from hallway to rooms. Nothing was clean. Bathrooms, floors, sheets: all covered in grime or dubious stains. If you have read other comments complaining about the smell and thought "heh, it's probably not that bad" or "heh, it's an old comment, it's probably fixed by now", please don't. It's not, and worse than you think. Pros: - Cheap for the area (we are all here for the price, let's be honest) - Location is not so far from MBTA transit lines, so going downtown is a reasonable 20 min trip - Owner was responsive Cons: - Dirty - Smells like a wet dog's bum - Broken amenities

It was nice. The room has wi-fi and a kitchen near the living room. There's a pool table. The owner is very nice and respectable. The other guests are quiet and it felt pretty safe. The price was really good. Thank you.

Basically stayed in a closet. Dead bugs on floor, burn marks in sheets, mold in shared bathroom and spray insulation everywhere. Single room had a lock, bed, fan, and safe with no key. Worked for what I needed but 2/10 reccomend.

I booked a Queen and a Twin bed and only got a twin. The whole apartment had this funky smell to it. All the amenities were shared so there which I wasn’t informed about. One of the twin beds had a broken frame and neither one had a box spring underneath. One of the bathroom doors was broken and hard to close, which honestly had me concerned. When I showed up there was someone cleaning but they didn’t speak much English so I couldn’t ask her any questions. I didn’t use the kitchen because I didn’t need to. Also the sheets and pillowcases seem to be constantly reused. I would recommend bringing your own For anyone wanting to stay here just bring your own sheets, some air freshener and definitely don’t make it a long stay if you want to be comfortable.

The room I stayed in wasn’t very well cleaned, and the building as a whole is a little run down. But it’s a place to stay and there weren’t any bedbugs. If you really need a place to sleep, it’ll do the trick

What a disgrace! These conditions are more than unsanitary. You should be ashamed of letting people stay in your horrible place. I hope you get banned from all booking platforms. We set foot inside the place, saw the condition, and left immediately. The smell—and the bedding—I don’t even have the words! The front door wouldn’t even close—no security at all. No communication with the host—she didn’t even respond to me once during the entire stay, from start to finish! We’d booked a quadruple room, and we ended up in a room with two twin beds… NOTHING WAS RIGHT. A DISASTER—STAY AWAY!

This room was dirty. The blinds were broken along with the heater unit. The place had trash in the kitchen and smelled bad. It was down an alley in an unsafe neighborhood. We found dirty socks on the stairs. The kitchen was very dirty with dishes in the sink. Bedspreads looked like they had never been washed. We would not stay there so we looked for another place and left. The owner refused to return our money of only 1 night. Expedia only offered credits. Out of thousands of places I have stayed at, this was the worst. I would not book here ever! Also, my trust in Expedia is gone.

It was aweful the mattresses were terrible it felt like sleeping on rocks, there were rats the size of my foot, the toilet didn’t flush, late service. In all I would not rent better to just get a hotel.

Heath St is the most disgusting place I have ever been in. Infested with rats and cockroaches in the filthy shared kitchen. One bathroom/toilet for 8 rooms. Nothing provided. No toilet paper, soap or even a towel. We left after 1 night, having paid for 8. This property should not be on Expedia list. I will be pursuing a refund when I return to the UK.

Sheets had stains on them and found bedbugs on BOTH beds as soon as I arrived. There was also not any toilet paper and the room was incredibly small considering how much they charge for it. The two beds barely fit and all there is left is a space in between the beds for you to place your stuff. There isn't even a trashcan inside the room, so you would need to either go down the stairs and go outside and throw your trash away or use the small trashcan in the bathroom.

Someone at the property had to let me in and text the property manager to send me my check in information. The front door barely closes, the pillows thinner than plywood and feel about as comfortable. Feels like a halfway house.

Extremely unsafe and frustrating experience. I would not stay here again. From the beginning, this stay was a mess. I was never sent the login/access information I needed to get into my room, and the phone number provided for assistance did not work. When I tried to check in early, I was told I needed to pay an additional $35 directly to them, outside of the booking platform, including being sent options like Zelle/Cash App. I declined and waited until my actual 7 PM check-in time instead. When I arrived, the front door to the property was literally open and would not properly shut, which was already concerning. It became significantly worse when, in the middle of the night, someone repeatedly tried to enter my room. I immediately contacted the property through the app because I had no idea who was attempting to get in. Their response was essentially that they would “call the cleaner.” That did absolutely nothing to make me feel safe and I never heard back ftom them. On top of the security issues, the beds were broken, communication was terrible, and getting basic assistance was unnecessarily difficult. A guest should not have to chase down access information, deal with a nonworking support number, be asked to send money off-platform, arrive to an unsecured building, and then have someone repeatedly attempting to enter their room overnight. The security issues alone make this unacceptable. I would strongly caution anyone considering staying here.
