"We have just returned from an idyllic week in this beautiful cottage - and couldn't fault a thing. Spotlessly clean, with everything you need supplied to feel perfectly at home. The bed is, by far, the most comfortable we have ever had the pleasure to sleep in. The lovely welcome pack on arrival was a lovely touch from the lovely hosts. Thank you so much for a perfect week - we will be back :-) xx"

"A much-needed and wonderfully relaxing stay at Hideaway Cottage. The cottage is a true hideaway, tucked away up a little lane with a beautiful little garden which was full of flowers. It was very peaceful, virutally all we heard was the sound of birds and church bells. Ampleforth was very quiet and the coffee shop was a stone's throw away serving fabulous breakfasts and afternoon teas. "The cottage is well situated in a beautiful area. It is very spacious and has parking for a number of cars on a large drive. The kitchen is very well equipped. We would suggest a deep clean for the cottage, as a few areas definitely needed extra attention. But, overall, we had a comfortable stay and enjoyable time."

"Stayed for a week in Little Pythorn cottage, the location is on a remote sheep farm and you get that feeling that you are in the middle of nowhere, this was great for us as we liked the isolation. "Fab trip and a lovely house. The Ashes is a cosy and peaceful getaway in beautiful surroundings. 10 of us stayed for a birthday celebration over 4 nights, and everyone enjoyed their stay. There are a few cobwebs, like other reviews I’d seen had mentioned, but that’s to be expected in a place like this and the place was otherwise clean and comfortable.
