Plenty of parking on a well lighted lot. Room was good. Pool was closed for maintenance. No complimentary breakfast but did have coffee and juice. Staff was excellent. Room and hallways were clean. I would definately stay there again.

Its an older smaller place but the rooms are Very clean and comfortable and the staff/owners are very friendly! I had to move my college freshman home and it was also graduation at ISU so Ames was super expensive and this was conveniently close to campus and much less cost! Would happily stay again when i head back on parents weekend in the fall

Staff was friendly and helpful, but bathroom had small flies, dead all over the floor, and one in bed and on night stand. They moved us to another room which seemed ok, no sign of bugs, seemed clean.

Great stay

It was great! We ended up staying 2 nights, the hotel is connected to a great Mexican restaurant and across the street from a McDonald's and Dairy Queen. Very friendly and helpful staff. We didn't use the indoor pool but it looked very clean.

It was clean and the A/C worked. Pool was closed on hottest days of June. Sign said "Closed for the winter", which tells me they weren't ambitious enough to get it ready by the middle of June. No breakfast, just coffee and juice. I had to turn on the coffee in our second day there. Nice people running the place, but just doing what they have to at this time.

Lobby wasn't the most inviting but the room was clean and bed was comfortable. They no longer have breakfast as listed. But they do have juice and coffee.

Very clean & quiet. Advertised "free continental breakfast", but no food or coffee available either morning. Made a reservation for one room, two nights. When we checked in, they said they had two reservations for two nights each & could not cancel one since they were made through a 3rd party site & we would be charged for both rooms. Expedia had no record of the second reservation.

The property was clean but dated. Our service was fine. The "continental breakfast" was coffee/juice and a honey bun from a box. The pool was closed for the season, even though it's an indoor pool. There is a connected Mexican restaurant, which was convenient. The room price was maybe a little high for what we received.

The price was great. However, the room was way below standards. American Inn has a great reputation and how this motel made the cut to be an American Inn is beyond me. Bathtub and toilet area is dated and has repair patch that was not done properly. The room actually smelled and I bought air freshener to spray in the air conditioner and room which did help. The entry door is way too complicated and I had to have assistance to figure out how it worked. Put card in, pull it out, pull knob twice to get door open. The "amenities" in the bathroom were in a red plastic dish used by some fast food restaurants. One shampoo and three conditioners. I don't get to Boone that often but will try very hard to NOT have to stay there again. Bed was fine, restaurant attached was Mexican (being from Arizona, I didn't bother to eat there). I didn't use the internet. Parking was good with easy access to the highway and downtown area.

The room was clean. However the last time it was decorated was in the 60’s. Shower leaked all over bathroom floor. Asked for a second blanket and we were heavily questioning. How many people are in your room? Why do you need an our blanket? If you steal the blanket, we will charge you.
