"Amazing location and a great deal for a hotel right on Universal property. You walk out of the lobby onto the City walk, and a short walk to the front gates. Rather than move all our suitcases and things, we used this as a base to explore Osaka, and it worked very well... this is also very close to the Universal City train station. It's a little tricky navigating from there because Universal City station is just off the main loop, so some trains will go all the way into the loop, some only go 3 stops then you change to a main loop train, but all in all very convenient as a base for Osaka. If you weren't planning to make USJ part of your trip, there are a lot of options on the loop, but we enjoyed our stay here. I'll note it may be oddly a bit "traditional" for a theme park hotel, in that you're meant to take off your shoes at the door of your room and use the supplied slippers, but it's easy enough to get used to."
