"We have stayed at the Rheinhotel Dreesen many times and the staff is without fail friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious, pretty, fastidiously clean, and very comfortable. The breakfast spread is wonderful and you're dining in a spectacular room with huge windows looking out over the river and across at castle-topped hills. It's definitely worth springing for a room with a balcony on the river if you can swing it -- gorgeous sunrises, glittering lights at night, boats and swans passing by....

"Breakfast was delicious and the best we had while touring Central Europe. Since we started our vacation in this area, we guessed it would be hard to beat during the rest of our trip. We were right. "My stay was good, but not perfect. The reception is very friendly, very helpful. The rooms were nice but few things were missing; no tissues, no AC while the room was very warm, no shower gels. The shower area had a half glass door which made it difficult to shower without having the water being poured everywhere. However, it is a nice a location, close to the mentro station, and very friendly staff. "

Not your average ‘basic’ hotel
"Stayed for three nights visiting Drupa. Room is very small but superbly laid out making it feel better than a much larger room. Plenty of power, lighting choices and everything sparkled. Wifi not great, lots of street noise all day and all night. Bring ear plugs. Buffet super continental with a view of station and cathedral. Doesn’t get any better. Staff lovely and helpful. Genuinely enjoyed my stay - and for the price worth every penny. Thank you!"
