"Overall a very good and enjoyable experience. Only things to let it down where the breakfast seemed to be very short staffed, and our air conditioning for the room didn't seem to work at all, and with it being super hot within the room it wasn't ideal. The room was very clean, and the staff always made sure we had everything we needed."

"Breakfast, athough states is continental it is also a buffet cooked breakfast. Beautiful views from the restaurant and a pleasure to sit outside with a morning coffee."

The Railway Hotel Worthing

"Excellent location in Worthing opposite the railway station. The staff could not have been more lovely and helpful. I could not have had a better reception and support throughout the stay. Very upbeat and can do. I asked for a quiet room which was noted( does not often happen) so had a room at the back of the hotel. The room was excellent, comfortable bed and all the amenities you require. Nice decor and ample towels. Impressive shower with waterfall shower head as an alternative to the regular version. The view from the room was the only draw back as not the nicest but another location might have been less peaceful. Maybe a brisk clean of the roller blind chains would be good. Impressed with Netflix on the tv and the WiFi signal was great. I had dinner and breakfast at the hotel which were of a very good standard, again morning staff were really pleasant and positive. The bar/ restaurant is very welcoming and as a solo traveller I felt completely relaxed in the environment which again is not always the case. This hotel is definitely recommended for the quality of staff, room, location and atmosphere."

"There was nowhere to eat. We walked into the hotel restaurant at around 6pm. The restaurant was almost empty, but were told they can’t serve us as we didn’t have a reservation. We asked if we can get room service we weee told no. We asked if we can eat at the outside terrace bar, we were told that was closed. We told staff repeatedly the restaurant next door on the promaenade was no longer serving dinner and we would like to have dinner at the restaurant. We were told we should walk around 10 minutes over to the next option, which we refused given that I was with my mum who has mobility issues and is walking with a walking stick. At this point I got so fed up, I set down at reception and ordered a deliveroo from the next town over. I saw many other guest coming to reception asking if they could go to the restaurant but everyone was told no, no one can be accommodated. Angus was really not helping the situation so families with elderly and with young kids had to find alternative options for a meal on a bank holiday weekend, one of the busiest times for a hotel. I really didn’t get why they were not prepared to be receiving a larger volume of guest to the restaurant. I think we had the nicest room, the penthouse with great views and so much space, but unfortunately I can’t recommend this hotel due to this experience."

"The staff was probably the most friendly we have had in all the hotels all over the world that we had stayed so far…very helpful, we asked for 4 additional pillows as the ones we had were a bit flat for our liking and we got them straight away,the breakfast was great just wished there was an option of poached/fried egg but everything else was great…the only downside for us was that the room carpet had some really bad stains and we couldn’t connect our phone to the tv to watch Netflix or sign in to our account…everything else was amazing …definitely recommend staying here and we also visited Hayling island as it close by ."

"The hotel was lovely. The staff where friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, with a good selection. It was nice to have a swimming pool, even though it was a small one. Unfortunately the jacuzzi wasn't working."
