Excellent location for everything you’d want to get to. Really friendly welcoming. Safe and secure building. Perfect little rooms for the one night or little weekend away. Definitely would stay again
Great location Jackie was there when we arrived to let us in and was friendly and helpful. Parking on street was full but plenty of carparks near by. Room clean and comfortable.
Only feedback would be that check in info wasn't completly clear as it says to contact the propery ahead of the stay to get check in details and the number on hotels.com was a landline (i got mobile number from the website and was able to speak to Jackie who said she would be there to let us in so no issues just hotels.com may need to update this 😊)
Our room was amazing so much more than i expected foe the price staff were all amazing i would highly recommend also a big selection of breakfast kids loved it , will be back soon also walking distance to evwrything you need
Came up for my daughter’s birthday she has loved it!! Great place to stay in the middle of Blackpool just a few minutes walk from the beach. Nice comfy room friendly and welcoming owner. Thank you x
The property owner so lovely, helpful and so welcoming. The kids loved the complimentary sweets. We’ll be back in the summer

Disliked: Cleanliness
The room itself was a reasonable size, linen nicely presented. Cleanliness not so great I dropped a hair pin on the floor, when looking for it I found sweets and other debris under the bedside, with a decent layer of dust to the back of it.
The double bed had a sheet of chipboard nailed to the divan base (presumably because the base was damaged).
The ensuite was okay, but the shower made a horrendous noise when running. The toilet had a leak from the water inlet, which looks like it's already had a repair attempt made.
Never been to Blackpool before so staying here wasxa complete gamble. We always stay at 'chain' hotels during our breaks all around the UK but in Blackpool they were very expensive, so we opted for The Winning Post, just by chance. What a find! We were very happy. The location was convenient, the room very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed having tea and coffee, facilities, as much as you liked compared to the one cup a day often provided by the 'chains'. There was also a cereal/toast breakfast option. Our room had a hairdryer, microwave and mini fridge too as well as a TV and heater. The shower was also good.
The only downside which didn't affect us as we aren't elderly or have disabilities was the stairs were quite steep and narrow. All the rooms were up a flight or two of stairs, no problem for us but unsuitable for some guests.
I would highly recommend for the money. It's obviously not The Hilton but excellent for what it is. Thank you.

The room was lovely for the price, had everything we needed, little soaps and tea and coffee were nice little touches, we would stay again happily, fairly central, check in was via phone and fairly straightforward and simple

Stayed for 1 night with partner and 2 children in standard room with 1 double bed and bunk beds. On street parking was full but found nearby parking for £10 for 24hours. Check in was easy and smooth. Room was in a poor condition, everything was worn and in need of replacement. Damage to walls and ceiling above the bed with visible leak damage. All damage poorly attempted to be hidden with a poor paint job but still very visible. Windows with major condensation and mould around frames. Several damaged areas on carpet including large iron burn. Bed was dirty with visible marks to sheets, didn’t look as though it was stained just appeared to be unwashed. There was cigarette ash on bathroom floor. Shower was very small however didn’t make a difference as was unable to use it due to no hot water. Room was also cold with no working heating. Messaged host when checked out to advise on heating but not response. Reading through other reviews it appears this is a regular occurrence. Trip was only manageable as was just 1 night, if we were in the area for any longer we would have moved to another B&B or hotel. Only positive is location as within walking distance to all main attractions.

The bunk beds were broke were my child could not sleep in it the owner did offer to come and fix it how i dont no as it was fully snapped in 2 places and i have an asd child who would not of coped with stranger coming in the room the toilet was also unclean with human hairs everywere and we could not sleep under the quilts as every bed had long black hairs in so not a good experience if it was cleaned properly and bed sorted it would of been an ok stay
As the saying goes you only get what you pay for.Luckily was only a 1 night stay.
Would I stay again? No
Would I recommend? No
Property has no signage outside as per website pictures so not easy to identify in the street.
No one on site got to phone for entry codes and hope they answer.
Room not that clean.
No heating
No toiletries, no bin.
No hot water
A puddle of water in bathroom where sink leaks.
On the night of our stay, myself, my friend, 10-year-old son and 12-year-old daughter were locked out of the property late at night for over an hour in torrential rain and wind, with all of our belongings trapped inside. The electronic door system failed and there were no staff on site to assist us. We were instead directed to a cleaner through a phone call, who admitted she didn’t know what to do, and later a man with a toolbox (whose connection to the property was unclear) who had to break in through the back of the property to restore access.
This raised an even more serious issue: there were other guests trapped inside the hotel who had no way of exiting. In the event of a fire or other emergency, this could have had catastrophic consequences.
Once we finally regained entry, further problems were clear:
There was no heating in the room.
No hot water was available for showers to warm up leaving us all shivering and cold in wet clothes. Cold water smelt strange like sewerage.
No staff were present on the premises at any time. On top of this, numerous published reviews describe highly concerning behaviour by the owner, including allowing strangers into guests’ rooms at night without permission. This, combined with our experience, shows a consistent pattern of unsafe and unacceptable management.
This was supposed to be a celebratory trip for my son’s 10th birthday, but instead it caused unnecessary stress, upset, and a real sense of danger. Owner will not respond to me.
Our room was better than expected. Large room with a double and single bed. Slightly tired in areas but overall ok. Room was well equipped with lots of warm throws, an iron, fan, small stool, wardrobe/drawer space, basin & shave point, draught/light excluder, small fridge and tea & coffee making facilities. The en-suite shower room was very 'snug' and whilst in need of re-tiling/a bit of bleach on the grout, it was ok. It all worked. The tv was tiny and would also be better placed away from where the kettle is (for safety reasons). I found the beds very soft and comfortable but I don’t like a firm mattress. The pillows were way too high for me so would recommend taking your own if you prefer a flatter one. Major stiff neck otherwise. We found the accommodation quiet and had no issues whatsoever. As breakfast isn't available on-site, Wetherspoons is a 10 minute walk away. Parking however is a BIG issue. Be prepared to have to pay as there is no free parking on the street unless you strike very, very lucky and get one. Everywhere else in the area is permit parking for locals. One last point is that behind the facade of the seafront, the area is what I can only describe as dodgy and I was wary walking home on an evening with my young son. Overall, if I had to return to Blackpool, I would be happy to stay at the Winning post.

Great stay for what we paid. Comfy beds. Lots of tea and coffee which is always a winner. Incredibly helpful when we accidently left a watch behind in the shower too! Close to the Pleasure Beach. Would definitely stay again.
