"The apartment is in a great location, very central, and it was clean. However, you do pay for what you get. It was a good price, so perhaps we should not have been surprised to find that it was in need of maintenance. There was some dodgy-looking electrics, no basic handsoap, no towel rings for hanging a hand towel near a sink, damaged walls etc. Overall, it made it feel cheap, and.... edgy. Worst of all though is their customer service. Nobody answers the provided phone number, and emails are...

"Great central location but couple of issues - lights in bathroom didn't work, there was a massive ridge in the middle of the floor (trip hazard) & the fridge was not working - in fact it was running very hot & there was a burning smell in the unit (plastic was warping inside fridge around light) - a clear fire risk. When informed Smartflats simply thanked us for the info & made no attempt. to remedy or compensate. Poor service as we rented the apartment to prepare our own food & were limited....

"Had a great time. Came in specifically for the Teddy Swims Concert at TRIX Zaal - the how was great. People in the area were extremely helpful. Stayed off the tourist grid pretty much and saw a lot of beautiful things. Owner has a guidelines book for guests that was absolutely awesome."

"The location is excellent, just a 5 mins walk to the central train station and shopping district. Staff are friendly and polite. However during our stay, our one bedroom apartment TV was spoilt on the 2nd day. Informed the staff and they cannot solve the problem, so left us with no entertainment at all throughout our stay for the next 4 days. "
