Take your pick of magnificent, ruined castles to visit, including Etal, just 10 miles. Unspoilt Cocklawburn Beach is just 8 miles away, a wonderful spot for long walks. For a day of shopping and trying out pubs, cafes and restaurants, Berwick-upon-Tweed is just 8.5 miles, while beautiful Bamburgh is 11 miles.
