The Space:
Crystal Lake Ridge is a year-round 30-day extended stay rental above beautiful Crystal Lake in the Village of Benzonia. Adorned with an artistic and eclectic collection of both local treasures and those from afar, Crystal Lake Ridge is best suited for adults and older kids. The property boasts amenities such as one-level living, an attached garage, lower-raising beds, and a chef's kitchen. There are also fabulous community perks like tennis courts, an outdoor pool with lounge chairs and shaded seating, and a quiet no-through traffic residential neighborhood!!
Inside Crystal Lake Ridge, you will be greeted by vaulted ceilings, bright windows, and an easy-flowing open floor plan. The living room is comfortable and cozy with a wood-burning stove, big screen smart tv, stereo, DVD/VHS player, and local cable channels. The dining room features ample seating and walks out to one of two ground-level decks.
The kitchen comes equipped with almost every cooking utensil or appliance imaginable! There are plenty of pots, pans, crocks, and serving dishes, plus the outdoor charcoal grill and smoker making it ideal for guests that like to stay in and cook. Guests will also enjoy the large desk with a monitor, two printers, and plenty of office supplies available for their use in the library.
The large primary bedroom features a full-size dresser, wall-mounted tv, queen bed, huge walk-in closet, and a spacious ensuite bathroom. Bedroom number two also has a large closet and is adjacent to the common-use three-quarter bathroom. In the hall, guests will find linens and towels, including pool towels, an air mattress, guest toothbrushes, first aid supplies, a foam bed wedge bed, a humidifier, a blood pressure machine, games, and tennis balls!
Guests will also be provided with a small number of supplies to get their stay started, including trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, fabric softener, and hand soap. Shampoo and conditioner are not provided. Pool access and patio furniture are available for guests to use seasonally.
Crystal Lake Ridge is within 10 minutes of Lake Michigan, Crystal Mountain Ski Resort, Crystal Downs Country Club, St. Ambrose Cellars, Downtown Frankfort, four local breweries, endless shorelines, beaches, boat launches, and tons of hiking/biking trails!
Rental Policy:
- One dog (1) is okay upon approval. No oversized or dangerous breeds. Pets are not permitted to be left alone for long periods of time. No pets on furniture.
- No smoking or fireworks are permitted.
- No events, parties, or large gatherings are permitted.
- Minimum booking age is 25.
- Guest must abide by HOA rules and regs.
- Pool access is a privilege that can be revoked if HOA rules are broken.
- Pool usage is not guaranteed.
To help you relax and enjoy your stay, we have partnered with Safely Damage Insurance to provide all reservations with damage protection. The cost for Safely is $299 for 30-59 nights, $389 for 60-89 nights, and $479 for 90-119 nights. All reservations will initially be charged a $299 Safely Damage Insurance Fee. For stays longer than 59 nights, the additional charges will be processed after booking. All reservations are subject to the guest agreement terms, conditions, and fees.
Guest Access:
This property features self-check-in. Check-in is permitted between 4:00 pm -10:00 pm. Guest are responsible for having their check-in instruction before arrival. Check-in instructions are sent after completing our guest check-in form and agreeing to our terms of service. The home's property address will also be sent separately 72 hours prior to check-in.

Other Things to Note:
Guests are provided with a small amount of the basic essentials including 2 rolls of paper towels, 2 rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom, 2 laundry pods, 2 dish pods, a full dish soap dispenser, and full soap dispensers in each bathroom, and basic cleaning supplies. Guests are not to use the host's inventory of bulk supplies left at the property and should be prepared to supply their own as needed for longer stays.
CHECK OUT INSTRUCTIONS:
•November-April: Set the heat/thermostat to 55 degrees and close the blinds.
•May-October: Shut off everything and close the blinds.
•Strip beds (not mattress pads) and pile all sheets and towels on the floor near the washer. Start a load of towels in the washer. (If applicable.)
•If you used more than 2 shower towels, hand towels, or washcloths per person we ask that you wash, dry, and put the excess away before checking out. (If applicable.)
•Dispose of all food. No food or beverages are to be left inside the property.
•Put all trash in the garbage bin. Trash instructions are noted in your Guest Guide Link. Please take the trash to the road if your stay falls on or within 48 hours of trash day.
•Put patio cushions back. (If applicable.)
•All dishes must be washed, dried, and put away. Dirty dishes may result in a $100 additional guest cleaning fee.
•Turn off all lights.
•Lock the door.
