"the staff were friendly and professional when we checked in. our room was clean overall, but did have some old cobwebs and a bit of dust. the bed was clean and comfortable. the bathroom was clean, but the extractor fan was quite dusty, the shower had good water pressure. breakfast was a simple affair, coffee, tea, fruit juice, a few cereal choices, yoghurt, berries, croissants and bread, the only hot food was sausages. we also ate dinner here on both nights of our stay, there was a good selection of meals, all meals we had were very tasty. they don't seem to advertise they serve evening meals, we only saw one review stating that they do serve food in the evenings."

"Loved this little gem of a cottage particularly the old fashioned look of it. Very clean and tidy with lots of storage and each room is very spacious, it certainly met all our needs especially the amazing kitchen and off road parking. We were very impressed all round and the thoughtful welcome basket deserves a mention. The cottage is perfectly situated for exploring Lancashire, North Yorkshire and the lakes. We spent 7 nights here and feel we need to return as there was so much we didn't manage to see and do. We'll be back."

"It is an old farmhouse with a few quirks that you quickly get used to. We had a great stay and really enjoyed ourselves. A quiet location that is less than 20 minutes from the M6. Bentham is less than 10 minutes away and that has local shops, including take-aways and Pubs. A great location for exploring the area.Make sure you take clothes for the whole of your stay as there is no washing machine."

"From the start of the booking the owner kept in touch which was brilliant.We highly recommend this little delight with it's gorgeous view.We especially loved the visitors in the field behind and the array of birds at the the bird table.Great value for money, definitely like to stay again."

"We enjoyed an unforgettable two-night stay at this charming holiday cottage in a peaceful Yorkshire Dales village. From the moment we arrived, everything felt calm and welcoming. The cottage itself was immaculate—spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully furnished to a very high standard.The location is superb for anyone who loves the outdoors. Scenic walking routes begin practically at the doorstep, with stunning countryside views just a short stroll away. After each day’s walk, it was a joy to return to such a cosy and comfortable retreat, especially the log burner.Our host was exceptionally attentive and friendly, ensuring every detail was just right without ever intruding on our privacy. Their warmth and care truly enhanced our stay.We would not hesitate to return and wholeheartedly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful break in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. A genuine five-star experience!"

"A lovely place. Situated in a small village/hamlet near to Ingelton. There are popular walking routes nearby in each direction, including the Three Peaks. The cottage was quaint and very homely. Many of the home comforts were provided and essentials for cooking. Found it overall a very pleasant place to stay. "
