Lake Pukaki is an alpine lake near New Zealand's tallest mountain - Mount Cook, we did not have clear skies when we were there to get a shot of Mount Cook but the color of the water in this lake is amazing, We stayed in these cottages and woke up to this view - the fishermen of the group even caught a salmon in the canals that are located nearby

Aoraki Mount Cook Alpine Lodge

"The Aoraki Alpine Lodge was a pleasant place to spend a few days. I arrived in the later afternoon and was greeted by the kind staff and immediately felt welcome. They even have a mini store with everything from eggs to milk to deodorant and toothpaste so if you forget anything or want to make food, they have a small selection for purchase. My room was at the end of the hall and the views of the mountains were unreal. The room had the essentials and just down the hall was a large kitchen with 3 stoves and 3 sinks, a plethora of cooking utensils and all that one could need when working in the kitchen. There was a nice dining area and couches where you could see the mountains without any obstructions. The rooms were not 100% soundproof but I had no trouble sleeping at night and the noise levels were decently quiet. The shower was just separated by a curtain next to the toilet but it was nice pressure and got warm very fast. Overall, it was well worth the money, with trails a walkable distance, as well as restaurants, cafes, and bars at the nearby hotel, there was no lack. "

"We had a wonderful stay at Skyrim Lodge in Lake Tekapo. The keyless check-in process was seamless, which made getting in and settling down a breeze. Our two-bedroom unit was well-equipped and incredibly comfortable. We were completely captivated by the view—the dazzling, snow-capped mountains were a sight to behold. A truly fantastic place for a getaway."

"Eddy from Front desk, was extremely professional and friendly. Our housekeeper on first 3 days was professional and friendly (sorry didn’t get her name) This was our third stay at the resort. Next time, want to try the Cook Suite. Like to see a bathtub in plus suites. I would pay more. The shower (water) pressure in room was low. (useless) Not water saving if it takes you 10-15 mins for a shower - if you want us to take 2-5 mins. Thank you for a wonderful stay."
