Living room: With Freeview TV, DVD player, single sofa bed (for flexible sleeping arrangements), wooden floor, patio doors. Sloping ceiling.
First floor.
Kitchen: With Electric cooker, fridge/freezer, wooden floor and French doors.
Dining room: With patio doors.
Shower room: With shower cubicle and toilet.
Second floor.
Bedroom: Galleried with double bed, beams and slloping ceiling.. Partial convection heaters, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Welcome pack. Private courtyard with patio, sitting-out area outdoor furniture and use of owners’ lawn. Private parking for two cars. No smoking. Please note: Fields to the front slope to the river. There are three steps in garden.. The Briar is a converted semi-detached out building forming part of a Grade II barn, sitting in the heart of a working farm. The fields in front slope down to the River Ecclesbourne which is a designated special landscape area full of natural wildlife. From the front gate, a public right of way gives access to a countryside littered with footpaths to enjoy. A west facing lawn in front of the magnificent barn can be used to sit, relax and enjoy the views into the evening sunshine. The Briar is ideally situated for access to the Peak District and many other attractions, Chatsworth House is less than an hour away, Derby city can be reached in 20 minutes. The Black Swan, restaurant and pub is within walking distance. There is ample parking on the owners’ drive.

It felt just right
From the moment of arriving, it felt right. It was very welcoming and homely. You were in the middle of the country yet never too far from some great places to visit. The only sad thing was having to leave. We will most certainly be back. The hosts were also lovely friendly people. Always so helpful if needed.
