Perfect quiet area minutes from everything the lower mainland offers. The property is fantastic, the hosts were great, the area is amazing. No traffic, no noise, beautiful park across the street and the inlet on the other side.

Lovely place, close to everything!

The rental was cute! It had everything you needed to stay for a decent vacation. I mostly was in and out of the city, but the car ride to the train station and beyond was very quick and easy! Brian and Carol were lovely and made sure to check-in and make sure you had everything you needed!

Delightful

This carriage house far surpassed all of my expectations. The pictures don’t do it justice! Close to hiking trails with beautiful views, parks and the delightful city of Port Moody. The hosts are friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend a stay here. We plan to return soon!

Charming retreat for nature lovers

I needed a place to stay for a week while in the area for work and this carriage house in Belcarra was perfect. It was exceptionally quiet and allowing for a peaceful retreat after work. Brain and Carol were welcoming and ensured the place was clean and well-equipped. Brian offered many suggestions for trail runs and hikes which I took advantage of. I look forward to returning.

Perfect Hideaway

Cozy coach house

WE were given great information how to get there and hiking suggestions! The hosts were keen to our needs and willingly provided. They have a canoe and bikes we could use. That was an awesome service. The area was very clean and quiet!

Beautiful Retreat on Belcarra Bay

I had a phenomenal stay at Brian & Carol’s carriage house. Perfect work retreat right on Belcarra Bay, directly in walking distance to some amazing walking/hiking trails, and about a 40 minute drive from downtown Vancouver. Do take them up on use of the canoe! Deep Cove is a short paddle away. I’d absolutely look to stay here again if and when I return to this area of BC.

Great stay at an awesome location.

We spent 3 glorious weeks in the Carriage House, which is well appointed and equipped with everything that one would need. The premises were spotless, and Brian and Carol were amazing, and available hosts. The setting is gorgeous. Across the street from a provinvial park, and that's just the start. Lots of great places to hike from there. Quiet. Beautiful setting. Would love to head back again soon. Highly recommend.

Elegant accommodations in a beautiful setting

From Minnesota, USA we travelled to Belcarra, BC for a one week stay. The carriage house was elegant, charming, cozy, and immaculately clean! We enjoyed beginning and ending each day at the carriage house. A fully equipped kitchen made it possible for us to enjoy dinner-at-home while taking n the beautiful scenery after hiking and bike riding. Brian and Carol were both engaging and accommodating hosts. If our travels ever bring us back to the Belcarra area we would definitely stay here again!

Perfect

We spent 3 weeks on honeymoon in this idyllic location, with a short break to Whistler. The location is great for getting the Canadian outdoor experience, as well as the city life, as the transport network is so good to Port Moody and the bus service to Belcarra outside the door is great. There is so much to see and do but not enough time, so will definitely be back. Brian and Carol are the perfect hosts, with nothing too much trouble. Would highly recommend

Magical!

We loved our stay. The Carriage House is simply perfect - so comfortable with all the amenities you'll need. If you love nature, you can't beat the network of breathtaking trails in Belcarra Park which is literally across the street. A public bus runs every half hour so you can hit Port Moody's brewery row, enjoy some delicious beers and food truck ware, and return to this remote location with ease. A simply stunning location, and Brian and Carol were very attentive and generous hosts too. 10 out of 10!

Belcarra Gem

Property is in a small village of well kept homes on a beautiful lake. The owners have supplied the unit with everything that you need for a very relaxing, comfortable experience. Grocery stores, coffee shops, and local transportation are all a short trip away. There are hiking trails galore and so many areas to explore. My wife and I spent a week here and the hosts were great. We would highly recommend this property for couples wanting to get away for a weekend getaway or longer as we did. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if we are ever in the country again.

A wonderful place to stay!

My wife and I had a fantastic time staying in Brian and Carol's beautiful apartment. Immaculately clean, the kitchen had everything needed to cook full meals every evening, elegant bathroom, comfortable Queen bed, beautiful views out of every window, excellent washer and drier, and stylishly decor throughout the place. We went for three memorable hikes in Belcarra, plus took their excellent quality, very clean kevlar canoe for lovely paddle in the bay. A five-star place, and Brian looked after us so nicely. We hope to come back soon. Belcarra Bay and the surrounding area is gorgeous, and there's so much to do and see. Our stay was perfect in every way - I can't recommend this place more highly!

Home away from home

Beautiful location. Superb Unit. Owners thought of every detail a traveler might need in a home away from home and were very communicative, helpful, and willing to provide any information someone new to the area would need. If your intention is to make most or all of your meals while traveling be sure to stop at the grocery before you arrive. It is about 10 minutes away in Port Moody (easy to get to) but having your food ready to go allows you to stay more local and avoid cars if Quiet rural atmosphere is what you were looking for. Not many restaurants close. But good brewery scene and a great authentic mexican one on Clarke St. We were not here long enough to really check out all that you can see and do here We loved the complete silence at night with the windows open and the water is so close. Definitely a place to come back to.

Best place between the mountains and the sea!

We have visited Vancouver several times over the years and have stayed with many a hosts in the area. We were expecting a quiet retreat and we definitely were not disappointed. It turns out that Belcarra aka təmtəmíxʷtən, can be quite exciting in these neck of the woods as it’s location on Indian Arm is more than ideal for hiking and canoeing / boating. Our hosts Brian and Carol were also the best! Their accommodation was top notch with thoughtful add ons like coffee/tea, milk, cheese and even wine. Not to mention a folder full of information about the area and books about its history. In all it was one of the best stays we’ve had and partly because of how good the location is as well as how good our hosts were. We’d definitely be looking to return!

The most perfect place to relax!

What an amazing rental! The thoughtful design of this carriage house high in the trees above the Indian Arm in the Village of Belcarra is a joy to experience. The 1 bedroom has a full bath, washer-dryer, well appointed kitchen, a warmly welcoming dining table, comfy sofa, tv, beautiful drop top writing desk, fireplace with reading chairs, and a cute balcony with chairs and small table for morning coffee or tea! We read, slept in, explored the area parks and trails, and drove into Port Moody where the Skytrain took us into downtown Vancouver and the waterfront! More importantly, the hosts are incredibly welcoming and ready to share their love and knowledge of the amazingly unique area in which they make their home!

Lap of luxury!

The space far exceeded our expectations for overall luxuriousness. It is decorated and appointed with great skill and care. The location, though off the beaten path, is extraordinarily lovely. Port Moody, which is about 20 min drive, has lots of restaurants to choose from. The city of Vancouver is just a train ride away. Deep Cove, an adorable little spot for coffee or pizza, etc. is just across the water by canoe. Brian was a gracious and helpful host. He provided us with lots of advice about where to eat and how to get to the city and what to do in Belcarra. It was a highlight of our time in Canada!
