Post and Beam Country home on 40 Acres of land in the Blaeberry Valley, Golden.
10/10 Excellent
"Our family of four had an incredible stay in the Blaeberry Valley. The home is just stunning--my kids loved sleeping upstairs in the loft area. This rental is thoughtfully supplied with items like cooking essentials and bug spray. It's well situated for exploring a variety of national parks (we had some amazing hikes/adventures in Glacier and Yoho). It's also perfect for just relaxing with a book and the incredible view. We would absolutely stay again in a heartbeat! "
"Beautiful little getaway, with its own private waterfall only a 5 minute walk away. Hosts were very responsive and helpful, and even suggested some awesome activities in the area. The space was well kept and tidy, and the outhouses were even kinda cozy (if you can call an outhouse cozy!) My boyfriend and I hope to make this visit an annual thing. Thanks Sleepy Bear Retreat for a great stay."
"Stayed here for 2 nights.... place was quaint. 2 levels of accommodations. We stayed in the "Hippie Hut", in the Bunkies Village. Simple. Quiet. Clean. Facilties were pretty good for a camp like experience. The fire pit GIGANTIC. Whimsical names and Jim's Gym was pretty impressive. Thank you! "
"Stayed there with my friends for a photo trip and it was the best part. We stayed in the cabin so all had our own beds. That place had everything you could want for a nice Banff stay… maybe except a TV … we needed to watch our twilight saga … WiFi might also be a bit hard to get but not a dealbreaker at all… plus you would get off your phone anyways hahah "
Field of Dreams, the brand new log cabin retreat w/ spectacular mountains views!
10/10 Excellent
"Set back a little ways off the beaten path this is a lovely, comfortable cabin with amazing views. Worked well for our family of 5, each of my girls had their own bedroom. We particularly enjoyed the trail down to the Blaeberry River - gorgeous little spot. We like that this spot allowed access to many points of interest: Golden itself, Yoho and Glacier National Parks - all just a hop, skip and a jump away. The only complaint would be lack of window coverings in the bedrooms; in early summer it stays light outside until quite late and so the girls had to use sleep masks to cover their eyes. Not a big deal but something to be mindful of, if you are light-sensitive when trying to fall asleep. Overall, we really enjoyed the cabin and our entire stay. "
"We had an amazing 2-night stay at this peaceful off-grid cabin! Tim, the manager, was incredibly helpful and welcoming. From the moment we arrived, he guided us through everything we needed and made sure we felt right at home. The cabin was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. One of the best surprises was the gorgeous waterfall just a few meters behind the cabin — it felt like our own private piece of nature! If you’re looking for a quiet retreat surrounded by beauty, this is the place. Huge thanks to Tim for making our experience unforgettable. Highly recommend!"
