"We had a great stay at Hidden Acres, hosting family and friends and using it as a base for day trips near by. The house was as described, loads of space and large rooms for everyone to stay in (multiple lounge areas and dining options). There is lots to do in the area (Bodiam castle, the Kent and East Sussex heritage railway, the coast at Hastings, Great Dixter Gardens, Batemans NT...) and plenty of walking opportunities on the doorstep: the local pub is about 25 mins walk and Battle is about 2 miles away. Being situated on a working farm, there was a constant parade of sheep, chickens and cows which was a nice backdrop for an evening drink on the terrace. We also took advantage of the small fishing lake on the grounds. The garden is large but quite steep out the back with a big step off the patio so one to consider with very small children. Whilst communication ahead of and during the booking was good (via a whatsapp group), there was a minor hiccup with some of the guest information not being sent which delayed our check-in however this was remediated quickly. The only other feedback that be that quite a few of the bulbs in the house were missing or not working - whilst this didn't really impact our stay it would be a relatively quick fix and elevate the stay for future guests."

"Great place with lots of walks including around own lake. Dogs had a great time. Owners onsite and very friendly but not intrusive. Granddaughter loved sheep and foal. Very special time with family. National Trust and animal petting family farm nearby. BBQ equipment good."

"The room was nice and big. The staff were friendly. The location was great, near lots of pubs and restaurants. The pub is good too, with friendly people. Not necessarily suited for young children on friday night as the area is loud until 0030, although it did quieten down once bars were shut. The shower water pressure in the evening seemed a lot lower than the morning."

"We had a lovely weekend away here, the owners are absolutely lovely! The gentleman greeted us, showed us around the farm, where we can let the dogs out for a run and where we could cut across the field to the local pub. A lovely, cosy little place of which we would definitely stay again!"
