"On the whole our stay was a very pleasant experience. Our room was light airy and cool in the heatwave. The beds clean and comfortable. Decent shower/ bath. Not sure if the small towel in the bathroom was a hand towel or bathmat. The only disappointment was the very basic breakfast, just flake or some round cereal. No muesli, yoghurt, and NO fruit. Bananas are the cheapest fruit going. The cooked breakfast, made to order was good . Nice to have use of the large garden. Few minutes walk to the sea with pasing buses to take you back up the hill "

"Beautiful house in beautiful surroundings. Very friendly but unobtrusive host. There was so much space and seating was generous both inside and out. This was a great property and priced reasonably. The only drawbacks were the lane up to the property which required careful driving to avoid serious potholes and damage to the cars. The other slight problem we had was difficulty locking and unlocking the small shower room door. That caused a little panic with one of the children when they couldn't undo the door. All in all though, we would definitely recommend this property if you want a calm and peaceful stay away from the rush of everyday life. Added extra -the dining room provided a perfect setting for a game of Traitors!"

"The George is in an ideal position, on the high street. Next door is a really good Thia Restaurant. There is a popular Italian restaurant within the hotel and an excellent little wine bar a few steps down the street. The George is a budget hotel that gives good value. We had plenty of space both in the room and bathroom. Toiletries and tea/coffee facilities were provided. The fan was very much appreciated during the hot spell."

"Great place with lots of walks including around own lake. Dogs had a great time. Owners onsite and very friendly but not intrusive. Granddaughter loved sheep and foal. Very special time with family. National Trust and animal petting family farm nearby. BBQ equipment good."

"The room was nice and big. The staff were friendly. The location was great, near lots of pubs and restaurants. The pub is good too, with friendly people. Not necessarily suited for young children on friday night as the area is loud until 0030, although it did quieten down once bars were shut. The shower water pressure in the evening seemed a lot lower than the morning."
