"Great location, well stocked kitchen. Nearby kid friendly activities like the Lake District Wildlife Park. We would definitely come back for longer. The walls are a bit thin but (I have never stayed in a lodge before so this is likely very normal). It didn't bother the kids at all at night and they slept like logs. "

"We had a really lovely stay for 2 nights at Rothay Garden. We booked dinner on the first night which was high quality. The views over the garden from the restaurant were really relaxing. We booked a luxury room which was really clean and spacious and had a terrace."

Prices seemed high at first glance, but I can assure you that you definitely get what you pay for. really good. The homemade sourdough bread!!!! amazing, would return just for that. The SPA, this was really wonderful, the treatments were exceptional, and the facilities were amazing. Location was great, we walked into Ambleside on the opposite side of the lake and caught the bus back (559) to the hotel after some shopping and a shandy. "
