"We were warmly welcomed, however, the room we were allocated smelt strongly of stale cigarettes, although otherwise clean! We were promply offered an alternative room, which was fine. Parking on site was good - you just have to register with reception & put a ticket in the car. Breakfast was good. It was very conveniently situated for the centre of town & an easy walk to the Anvil.The hotel seemed a little dated & some of the fixtures could do with some tlc."

"Use this hotel for pre-cruises. Great location and not too far from the city HighStreet area, walking to the ferry or easy access for some great pub/eateries around the corner. Own eatery for breakfast is also quite good and there is the option of eating in the room with your own food if that is your preference. Disappointed this time as the eatery was closed down for the evening due to ??? Staff are very friendly and willing to help you when needed. See you next time when we are cruising out of Southampton !"

"Great location close to the center and train station. Comfy rooms and decent shower. Hotel is very comfortable but a little tired in spots. Only complaint would be a lack of night staff to control rowdy residents. Given it was midweek it is unlikely normal but people running down the corridors all night until 6am was frustrating."
