Hotel Majesty

"The property is very good, lots of outdoor spaces and everyuthing is well-m,aintained. The facilitiies are dated and basic, but clean and good for the prioce. The only problem with it is the location. It is far out of town and when i was there, construction vblocked the bus stop, so i had to take cabs in and out of the city every day at 20 euros a trip. Adding all that up, it would have been the same to get a more expensive place in town."

"This hotel is an easy walk from the main train station, and is about 10 minutes' walk south of the main attractions of old town Bari. Instead of bottled water, they give you a portable bottle "gift" that you can fill with cold water at a dispenser on each floor. There is also a refrigerator in the room, and an electric grate in front of the window that you can close at night to keep out street noise and light."

"The hotel is conveniently situated a few blocks from the train station, making it easy to travel to near-by towns by Trenitalia. The neighborhood is lackluster and seems to be inhabited by many immigrants. We always felt safe, although the streets are poorly cleaned and maintained. The hotel itself is updated beautifully with good-sized rooms and stylish bathrooms. Cleaning service was daily. We heard no noise from adjacent rooms or from the street. All the staff were very nice and very friendly. The breakfast buffet was adequate but nothing special. The main issues for me were the small, slow elevator and the lack of HOT water. We showered in warmish water each morning, but never had really good hot water from the bath shower heads. For the price, Hotel Moderna was a fairly good option for our first visit to Bari."

"The room is located in a pleasant and safe building 5 minutes from the central station. We were provided with clear instructions prior to arrival and we were able to check in easily. The room was not large (probably not a place for a long stay), but was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The property provided water and a place to store baggage. A token was provided to get a coffee and pastry at a local cafe. Overall a good stay and recommend for 1-2 nights in Bari."
