Small room, but it’s enough for stay 2 nights. Room was clean, but they were some ants since it was ground floor. I would recommend for short stay for those who just need a place to sleep and shower.

A lovely one night stay

Just one night when passing through. Staff were lovely and very helpful. The bathroom was spotless. The only negative was that there was just a sheet and a quilt on top rather than a duvet with duvet cover on the beds, but the room was the right temperature anyway so we were not too cold even in January. Breakfast was very good, with a good range of hot drinks, delicious yogurt and nice seedy bread for toast and jam. A very convenient location a pleasant few minutes' walk from the train station.

Hostal Baler provided the perfect stopover. Easy walk from station. 30 min walk to Las Ramblas. Clean. Helpful staff. Good simple breakfast included in price. Able to leave luggage at reception after check out. Good price and value. Walls are thin! But street noise minamal.

Spotlessly clean hostel, efficiently run by helpful and professional staff. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to change my booking and the manager and receptionists were extremely accomodating in arranging an early check-out and refund. Absolutely first class service. The hostel is located in a lively but slightly shabby residential area.

Incredibly basic room with thin walls and door. You could hear people moving about in the hallway. There was a dead cockroach outside our door.

I got it for a good deal through this booking site. I don't know the real price, but for me Hostal Baler was the best place to stay overnight on my trip in Barcelona for the price/value. Everyting worked perfectly, it was super clean, staff was very friendly and the room had working AC. To my surprise, a breakfast was included and I liked it (coffee, juice, bread toppings, pastries, fruit etc.) No complaints. Would recommend if you want a basic place to sleep in where everything works!
