"I chose this resort because it looked like a place that was authentic Thai environment. It did not disappoint. Our beach front cottage was old, for sure, but well kept and the decor was very cool. Plenty of room for my family of four. Lots of privacy thanks to all of the greenery. The staff was very helpful. We had a few issues the first night but they were all taken care of within a few hours when we notified management the next day. Laundry service onsite was excellent. I highly recommend this...

"The property was lovely, all the amenities we wanted, and the team made us feel right at home. Unfortunately, due to nearby construction noise we were unable to complete our stay. The owner was an absolute gentleman, and gave us a full refund. The property was fantastic. We hope to return next year, but we need to make arrangements to deal with the steep driveway in a better fashion next time."

"Ban tai was beautiful! The villa was very up-to-date and the staff was super helpful and friendly. The only negative is that they do not accept credit cards for check-in, despite it being listed on hotels.com as an option. Management claimed it’s because they have issues with physically using credit cards which seems incredibly odd for a luxe villa. The management wanted to hold 10,000 baht in cash during the stay, which is absurdly high compared to other stays in the area. "

"Nice hotel, needs a bit of upkeep. Pool area was very nice and taken care of. Cottages had many small openings around the windows for mosquitos and critters to enter the room- recommend you take a roll of packing tape or similar to seal holes. Breakfast was adequate at best, we felt like eating out instead."

"The Chaweng Regent Beach Resort is an excellent choice for accommodation in Samui. Close to all activities in Chaweng Beach and plenty of dining and bar choices. The property itself is very neat and well maintained. The staff were fantastic and very helpful. Unfortunately the main pool was under renovation during our stay but was close to being completed. Breakfast had a great choice of different foods. We would thoroughly recommend a stay at this hotel and we will stay again when we return to Samui."
