We welcome you to stay in Sweetheart Cottage, our charming, quaint and quintessentially English property in the peaceful Oxfordshire village of Swalcliffe, on the edge of the Cotswolds.
As you walk into the cottage, you will be instantly welcomed by our beautiful kitchen and living area - both the perfect balance of cosy and light.
Our kitchen is fully equipped, so if you're looking for a romantic night cooking together or rustling up a big breakfast after a great evening in the local pub, you'll have all the basics you need.
Through into the living and dining area, we have a beautiful fireplace and comfy seating. The idyllic setting for cosying up with a good book or a long-overdue catch up.
On the first floor, we have the bathroom with a rain shower and our cosy single bedroom, with stunning views over the countryside. You may even catch sight of the local horses grazing!
On the top floor you'll find our beautiful double bedroom, also offering incredible views of the rolling countryside. An idyllic space for resting up after a busy day of exploring the local area or a long lie in.
Outside we have a beautiful garden with a small bubbling stream running through and outdoor seating to soak in the sun with your morning coffee.
Situated in a quiet lane, known for its attractive old stone cottages within the picturesque village of Swalcliffe. Sweetheart Cottage is just a stones throw from the local pub - The Stag's Head, the church and one of the country's finest Tithe Barns. Swalcliffe is the perfect base for walkers, cyclists, friends and families to explore the Cotswolds, Oxford, Shakespeare's Stratford and historic Warwick. We also have lots of wonderful footpaths from the village that wind through rolling hills and beautiful byways, often leading to a lovely local country pub.
We have nearby market towns just a 10 minutes drive away, including Shipston-on-Stour, Chipping Norton and Banbury. We are also only a short 20 minute drive from Soho Farmhouse, Cotswolds Distillery, Daylesford Organic Farmshop, Diddly Squat Farm, Bamford Wellness Spa, Broughton Castle, Farnborough Hall National Trust Property and 40 minutes away from Charlecote Park, Silverstone race track & Bicester Village Designer Shopping Outlet.
We prioritise creating a hypoallergenic and safe environment for all and unfortunately as such pets are not permitted.
