Great views, very sucluded and quiet. Exactly what we were looking for. The description and pictures of the place were spot on so no surprises. Communication with the hosts was great and made it very easy to find the place. The only downfall which wasn't the fault of the hosts is the wasps swarming around made it difficult to enjoy the deck. Mentioned it to the hosts and they said they would look into getting some traps. Would definitely stay there again if we are back to that area.

We had a lovely week at the Robins Nest Tiny Chalet! Everything was clean and well organized. Beautiful view from the outdoor deck! The hosts were very prompt and helpful with their replies. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to vacation in the Nelson/Balfour area.

Not for the faint at heart
We went in March with some snow and lots of water/mud. The property was hard to find, directions poor. Pictures were accurate. The property was very remote and not close to any resturants so you need to be able to prepare meals but there was no oven/stove - just a hot plate. Sleeping Arangements were poor - just a couch/trundle downstairs with a bed in the loft with a VERY steep ladder. Not the best arrangement for some. The water heater must be very small as we ran out halfway thru the first shower. After 1 night of a 3 night stay, we left.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. All of our needs were met. Cute, adorable place..loved the views, beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked..love the fridge and microwave. Our suggestions would be to have a nice big sign out at the entrance. We arrived in the dark and the lack of street lights is scary. We felt like we were trespassing. We actually turned in at another spot which our nav showed as our destination. Friendly fellow was in the tiny house there so we knew we were in the wrong spot. I would definitely book here again.

A private slice of heaven
Just loved the location! The deck is the best part. Not ideal beds if 4 adults. Just know the pull out couch is super hard. But location makes up for it. Could use a mattress topper. Very clean! Great service.

The Robin’s Nest
We really enjoyed our stay in this unique cozy cabin. It has everything we need and is in a lovely peaceful quiet location. It’s a beautiful view to wake up to and the deck is great for relaxing and star gazing. We especially appreciate the cost being more reasonable than most other short term accommodation. Thank you !

Cozy cabin
My girlfriend and I had a great week here. The house is very cute and nice to spend lazy time in. The pull-out couch is super nice, though a little finnicky, and the TV setup worked great. The drive to town or to Whitewater every day can take a while, though it is nice to be near Ainsworth Hot Springs. The bed upstairs is cute and it’s nice to wake up to trees outside. We parked the first two nights right by the house and subsequent nights at the top of the driveway because of snow - we didn’t find this too much of a hassle. All in all, great place!

Fantastic Tiny Home
My husband & I have talked about a tiny home for years & we LOVE the mountains. When we saw this adorable tiny home, we jumped at the opportunity. While it is technically a tiny home, it seemed way more spacious than we expected. One of our favorite parts was the deck with an amazing view! We enjoyed eating in Nelson & hiking. The owners sent us a very comprehensive list of activities, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. This was extremely helpful because we were only there for a few days. I'd say the biggest downfall to our trip is that we didn't stay long enough!

This tiny house had everything we needed for our two night stay. The full sized bathroom and ability to stand in the loft area make you forget you’re in a tiny house! It was great to be surrounded by forest out of every window and truly be immersed in nature. We would definitely stay here again.

Cozy cabin post backpack
This was a perfect relax and recuperate spot for us! There was privacy, there were views, there was a comfy bed, a big shower, and a very well equipped little kitchen. Jeff and Holly have clearly chosen the items for this cabin thoughtfully and with their guests in mind. Communication was always prompt and thorough and we had zero issues finding the property. If you're looking for an idyllic mountain cabin for a couple of days, it's a good spot!

a great place for a retreat deep in the woods but close to the ferry
Not suitable for older adults or those with mobility issues because access is down a steep dirt road, (no pathways, gardens or lawn) I was grateful to be able to unplug the wireless router so i could sleep well and really relax in the peace and quiet with such lovely views down to the lake.
