"The property was extremely close to all major squares and landmarks that Venice has to offer. But it also had small quiet alley ways which was perfect to get away from the hustle and bustle. We got engaged just next to the apartments near the canal. Beautiful dock at the end of alley and amazing service by everyone we met at the apartments. Will definitely be returning in the future. "Victoria checked us in and she was very friendly and thorough. She also helped us with directions to various places. Alice helped us make our queen bed more comfortable by providing us with a mattress topper - Grazie Mille Alice. The room itself is small but decorated beautifully and ver clean. The bathroom was very nice and very clean. The neighborhood is loud and noisy but things do quiet down after 11:00 (23:00). The hotel is steps away from Saint Marls Square which is perfect. "

"Laura greeted us, assisted with our luggage and reviewed the facilities, breakfast and gave us a map along with a booklet of recommended dining, shops, ferry info, etc. We stayed in the Attica room sharing with our friends for 2 nights. I wish we could have stayed 2 additional nights. It rained on and off both days and the first evening we brought a few groceries in from a local market and sat at the table in our “suite” with a bottle of wine, cheeses and fresh bread chatting! "It's not often you get to stay inside a walled 16 century castle, with the code for the gate. This is a bed and breakfast, but the breakfast is weak. We had our own kitchen and were 100 yards from all the local shops, so no worry The staff were very helpful (and nice) -they made great dinner reservations for us. If you want comfortable authenticity rather than high luxury this would be very hard to beat"
