"We had a nice stay, enjoyed the pool, views, balcony and breakfast for $12 was good. Really nice location with lots of choices for excellent restaurants within a mile radius. The hotel is a bit dated, frayed towels, bathroom needed maintenance and mirror needed a good cleaning. That said the Jr. suite had everything we needed for the week, so it worked for us."

"Fabulous property. Location is fantastic in quiet Ribeira Grande. Easy to get to all parts of Sao Miguel. My only advice is that if you come for the outdoor pool, it is very cold, and days with sun are elusive."

"The Rock Guest House is a beautiful, well maintained facility. They served a wonderful continental breakfast and since we had to check out early, they provided us with a breakfast to go! Getting to the port was easy - just walk down the road. Going back was good exercise if you enjoy a gentle climb. We highly recommend it."

Free parking in the basement garage was easy to access, and we were allowed to leave our car for the day after our checkout. Location was as central as it can get, with beautiful views of the Horta harbor."
