Our self contained One Bedroom Cottages are spacious, with a queen bed in the bedroom and a single bed in the lounge. Set amongst pretty gardens, each with their own car park and a sunny balcony. Each has a kitchenette with microwave, electric frypan, and small fridge. Complete with a flat screen TV with Sky Guest Select (50+ channels) and free WiFi. All linen is provided along with complimentary toiletries, and tea and coffee provisions.

Central located and private rooms with bush outlook. Rooms are a little tired but people are very nice and price is good.

No-one on the other side of the walls as in a motel was great. We really enjoyed that privacy of our lovely standalone house. A view over to the hills instead of another building. Excellent walking location for food, supermarket, great takeouts, and short travel to beaches, vineyards. We think we lucked in here for sure.

Clean, tidy and roomy cottage. Ideal for our 1 night stay. Only negative was only a few tea sachets to have a drink. No coffee sachets or other options. Good stay.

Waiheke Island Motel

Great that we could take our dog with us - so very appreciative of that. The one bedroom unit was spacious and private. The furniture was comfortable. Lacking: kitchen utensils and crockery was minimal (no potato peeler, no decent knives for cutting, one teaspoon, only one bowl). Our stay was a week and was over Christmas - so we weren't able to cook the food we had planned as the kitchen was so lacking. We had checked the website and it had said it was a "full kitchen" and had an electric frying pan - we had to ask for one of those, which was promptly provided. The compendium in the unit said our unit would be serviced daily. We had a lady come by 3 times when we were there and gave us fresh towels - but it would have been nice if they had emptied our rubbish and wiped the bathroom floor (ours was the accessible shower so a wet floor). Good location for walking to Ostend shops, but had to drive everywhere else - glad we had a car.

Great location

Great location and close to bus stops and Ostend cafes etc Wee bit disappointed not to have rubbish emptied or clean towels during our 3 day stay (I assumed this was a given as have had at previous motels) Would return for the location itself

Doggy Friendly...

My daughter and I really enjoyed our brief stay on Waiheke Island. And, we sincerely appreciated being able to bring our little doggy "Romeo" to stay at the accommodation also. All in all, everything was fine and the location was great.

The pictures of the cabin on the ad weren’t what we were given, and numerous attempts to contact managers via Stayz resulted in no response.

Exactly what's advertised

Friendly and helpful staff. They recommend Wai cabs who were awesome dropping us all over the Island vineyards. Will definitely stay there again 😃

The accommodation was basic but beautifully clean , lovely fresh linen and everything worked ok . Great for one/ two night stay .
