Sumptuous Light Filled Place with Aircon & Carpark
Our recently renovated apartment is located in the award winning Beaumont Quarter. We invite you into a spacious light filled open plan living area & kitchen, 2 bedrooms, bathroom, separate laundry and secure car park.
Here you will experience effortless urban living in contemporary comfort in a place thoughtfully furnished with a rich mix of NZ and mid century design pieces. Enjoy all day sun and the serenity of long reaching views. There’s also a heated lap pool, spa, sauna and gym on site.
Here are 3 things people love about our apartment:
1 - The location is simply outstanding. Beaumont Quarter is located a little more than a stone's throw away from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet tucked away in the best fringe location Auckland has to offer. We are isolated from the noise of the central city, with leafy Victoria Park across the road and a gourmet supermarket less than 5min away however it's just a short 5-15 minute walk to Wynyard Quarter, Ponsonby and much of the CBD. Our guests frequently comment on how quiet Beaumont Quarter is given its central location.
2 - Walk into the serenity of a light and airy place, with high ceilings and an abundance of natural light through the north-facing floor-to-ceiling sliders.Being on the end and on the top floor makes for a quieter stay and the idyllic sunny aspect means the balcony was just made for alfresco eating and drinking as it follows the sun from sunrise to sunset while the peaceful outlook to the mast tops remind you how close you are to the marina. The sumptuous all day sun continues inside to the spacious living area
3 - Exceptionally appointed, our place offers all the necessities and comforts for a peaceful and effortless stay. Be welcomed home by the lush carpet with extra thick underlay, sink into the lush furnishings with a design history and use the convenience of the Nespresso Lattissima Touch, a full laundry, or indulge in the full amenities of a sauna, spa and heated lap pool.
Here are 3 things to consider before renting our place:
1 - The apartment is in a residential area and close-knit community, so no parties are permitted in the apartment at all times during your stay. This applies to all residents, so ensures you will have a peaceful and quiet stay yourself.
2 - This apartment is on the top floor, you'll need to be able to climb three flights of stairs (no lift, sorry). Being on the top floor is great, as you'll receive heaps of sun and no noise from people above you and you are on the end so the bedroom is super quiet. Even though private and elevated, the apartment is located in a central city neighbourhood, so you'll be close by other residents. That’s not a downside, since the neighbours are generally a very considerate group of people, but you will be aware of their presence on occasion. Most people actually love it, since you will have a chance to meet locals and quickly strike up a conversation. Live like a local amongst locals and you will love your stay.
3 - Living in a close-knit community requires some basic rules to make things easier. We ask that you abide by these rules and that you are a considerate neighbour. By all means, live and enjoy yourself, just be mindful of noise and loud music both inside and out and you’ll have a fabulous time.
-------------------------- ABOUT THIS HOME --------------------------
The layout of this apartment with bedrooms on either side of the main living area and a separate laundry space, make this a great choice for friends and colleagues travelling for work.
BALCONY
The balcony was just made for alfresco eating and drinking. Directly north facing, it follows the sun from sunrise to sunset. The bespoke outdoor leaner sits under cover and gives comfortable seating and eating space for four. From here you can survey out towards the wide open skies and glistening of cars in the distance as they head over the harbour bridge. The mast tops remind you how close you are to the marina. All day light continues inside to the spacious living area with seating designed to kick back and enjoy the warm and changing light.
KITCHEN AND DINING
Our fully equipped kitchen includes superior stainless steel gourmet cookware, and chef-quality knives. Choose from an array of glassware and serving dishes to suit every entertaining situation. There’s a Nespresso with milk frother and a selection of tempting Nespresso capsules.
The bar leaner serves multiple purposes, either extra kitchen bench space, a dining table or somewhere to place your laptop looking out into the sky scape.
LOUNGE
Sit back and relax on a choice of comfortable seating and enjoy Netflix on the Smart TV.
INTERNET
The wifi is connected to an unlimited high-speed 100 Mbps fibre internet connection.
BEDROOMS
Both bedrooms are the same size and give an outlook across the green urban landscape of Freemans Bay Complete with large triple slide back windows, you can even enjoy the view (and the through breeze) from the living area. Each have generous built-in wardrobes and block out curtains to ensure a sound and uninterrupted sleep whatever the time of day. The sumptuous pocket sprung beds come with wool all-seasons duvets, high thread count sheets and a selection of soft, medium, hard and feather pillows.
The art in the bedrooms are NZ artists, ‘Call Of The Tui’ is by NZ photographer Brett Hayvice and ‘Pania - The Fall' is by Rakai Karaitiana.
FURNITURE
The furniture itself is mostly NZ designed and made, other pieces are mid century originals. You may recognize the couch design, that’s because it is an iconic design and build of Geoff Thurgood. He modelled it on the classic NZ bach couch and called it the 'Chester' after Garth Chester, an Aucklander who many called NZ's answer to Ray and Charles Eames with his mid century designs.
Sink back into the lush chair. It's also a Geoff Thurgood, covered with an opulent Mokum fabric, also a NZ company. In the bedroom the bedside tables are Susan Robinson Design from Whenuapai, West Auckland, the beds NZ Design Mobel.
LAUNDRY
The laundry includes a sink and both a washing machine and a dryer, with space to put bags, shoes and coats out of the way. We supply washing powder.
GETTING AROUND
Our place is less than a 15 minutes walk or a $5-10 Uber ride to much of the central city, including Westhaven, Wynyard Quarter, Viaduct Harbour, Queen St, and Ponsonby.
If you want to catch a bus, the CityLink, InnerLink and OuterLink all have stops nearby. Bike and e-scooter share schemes such as Onzo, Lime, Wave and Flamingo are always in the area to pick up due to the central location.
PARKING
Free secure parking for one car is provided in a space located in an underground carpark nearby.
Bicycle racks inside a secure parking building are also available.

Beaumont Quarter is a 258-unit residential project in central Auckland, designed for inhabitants who want to live, and be close to, the city centre, without relying on the regular use of cars. In a country that is known for building only high-rise or low-rise, Beaumont Quarter has been recognised as a benchmark project for medium-density development, introducing a European design that gives priority to pedestrians with a dense network of pedestrian pathways and small squares.
The award-winning design is exceptional in both concept and execution. The complex is comprised of a series of unique buildings, each with an independent yet complimentary aesthetic, brought together with pedestrian friendly walkways and shared spaces. All homes are well-equipped with high-quality, contemporary fittings and furnishings and have a focus on spacious living areas. Building height has been regulated to maximise natural light. And many homes have their own outdoor areas like courtyards, rooftop patios or decks – some with stunning views of the city. Trees, gardens and green spaces make BQ a relaxing and refreshing place to come home to. Beaumont Quarter is inner-city living at its best.
Across the road is the beautiful tree-lined Victoria Park (with a family-friendly skatepark, basketball court and playground) and you’ll find a New World supermarket less than 100m down the road. Plus, you’re only a short stroll from the shopping, cafes, restaurants and bars of Ponsonby Road, Wynyard Quarter, City Works Depot and Victoria Park Market.
You’ll find there’s a friendly sense of community at BQ which residents are keen to protect and maintain. Noise levels are kept low, especially after 10 pm, and there is respect and consideration for other residents and the common spaces.
We've created a comprehensive online guidebook of local attractions that we will send you a link to after you book. You must have at least one Airbnb profile photo that clearly shows your face, and you must have Airbnb verified Government ID.
Quiet time after 10 pm.
To reduce the amount of chemicals used, you must use the shower located within the recreation centre before using the swimming pool or spa. This is enforced using CCTV and will result in a $50 fine if violated. Please follow the other rules detailed on the recreation centre door.
