Summary:
Just a short walk from Little Oneroa Beach, the playground, local dairy, and Dragon Fired Pizza, Little Oneroa Cottage is a simple, sun filled holiday home with a light Mediterranean feel. Compact, comfortable, and easy to live in, it suits couples or small families wanting relaxed days close to the water and village.
The Space:
Recently refreshed and uncluttered, the cottage is designed for straightforward island living. The lounge is bright and welcoming, with comfortable seating, a Samsung Frame Smart TV, and fibre internet, making it an easy place to unwind after beach time. The compact kitchen is fully equipped for simple meals at home and opens directly to the outdoor dining area, keeping the flow between inside and out easy.
Outside, the sheltered dining space sits among native greenery and works well for slow breakfasts or relaxed dinners under the trees. The private spa is tucked to one side of the cottage and offers a quiet place to soak after swimming or exploring nearby beaches.
Inside, there are two bedrooms. The main bedroom has a queen bed and soft natural light, while the second bedroom includes bunk beds suited to children, friends, or an extra guest. The bathroom is clean and functional, and a separate laundry area makes longer stays more comfortable. The overall layout is compact and practical, ideal for guests who value location and simplicity.
With a bus stop right beside the driveway, arriving without a car is entirely realistic. You can step off the passenger ferry, hop on the bus, and be at the cottage within minutes. A dedicated parking space is also provided for guests who prefer to drive.

Little Oneroa Cottage is set beside Little Oneroa Beach, a calm, gently sloping bay well suited to swimming, picnics, and relaxed afternoons by the water. The playground sits right next to the sand, making this a popular spot for families.
Everyday essentials are close by, with the local dairy just steps away and Dragon Fired Pizza nearby for an easy meal after the beach.
A short walk brings you into Oneroa Village, where cafés, galleries, and shops line Ocean View Road. Daytime favourites include Wai Kitchen and Solar Eating House, while The Oyster Inn is a classic choice for dinner.

The bus stop beside the driveway makes getting around the island simple, whether you’re arriving from the ferry, heading to Oneroa, or spending the day at Palm Beach or Onetangi. Jump on with other holiday makers and explore the island without needing a car.
If you prefer to drive, there is a dedicated parking spot next to the cottage. Taxis and rideshare services also operate across Waiheke, though fares can be higher during busy times.
Other Things to Note:
Like many Waiheke homes, the cottage runs on rainwater, so we ask guests to use it thoughtfully.
Minimum-night requirements apply: 5 nights late December–mid January, 3 nights on holiday weekends, 2 nights all other times.
Interaction with Guests:
The Stay Waiheke team is available seven days a week from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with after-hours support for urgent matters. For life-threatening emergencies, guests must call 111 immediately. Once you settle in, the cottage is private, quiet, and set up for an easy island stay.
