"I stayed here for 3 nights. The location is excellent!! So many wonderful lively restaurants and shops, and a short walking distance to everything you need to see in Athens and the metro for anything else. I felt safe walking around and despite the central location it was very quiet at night for sleeping. The staff were all genuinely very kind and helpful throughout my stay. One staff member even helped me find an affordable way to get to the airport early in the morning, which I really appreciated! However, the main issue was the bathroom cleanliness and hotel maintenance. The shower had visible mold in the tile grout and significant limescale buildup on the shower head. The housekeeping lady was sweet and really tried her best to remove as much of it as possible after I reported it, however it was not possible. I was also shown an alternative room, but it was similar. Its clearly something that has built up overtime rather than a one-time cleaning miss. The bedroom itself was mostly clean and the bed was really comfortable which I appreciated. Yet, it was also showing signs of wear along the windows and the outlets. Just in general I found the property to need better maintenance. I think this hotel could be a good option for a very short stay if location and price are priorities, but it may not meet expectations for travelers who place a high value on bathroom cleanliness and maintenance. "

"NLH Horel, was a wonderful place to stay. The location was excellent, within walking distance to everything and very close to the Acropolis, the Acropolis Museum and ERMOU street with all the shopping, cafes, restaurants, bars, It made exploring the city so easy and convenient. The hotel was comfortable, and the overall experience was very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Athens."

"There are many things to praise regarding our stay, the transport into Athens via the shuttle was superb, on time, great driver - he was so friendly and accommodating. The room was immaculate and the breakfast more than satisfactory but I was so disappointed that the roof top pool (as advertised when I booked) was not open. It was the reason I booked the hotel in the first place and it wasn't clear when I booked with Expedia that it would be closed for refurbishment. There is no where to sit outside in the sunshine at the hotel when this is closed and the local area is traffic busy and urban. Otherwise, it is a great hotel, we were given an upgrade and the staff were super friendly and attentive."

"Disappointing Stay Despite Great Location: We chose this hotel for a one-night stay before our flight back to New York, mainly because of its rooftop and advertised views of the Acropolis. The location is excellent—very central and convenient—and the hotel itself has beautiful décor, stylish wallpaper, and nice fixtures. Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing. There was extremely loud construction noise that made it impossible to rest after check-in. After traveling from Santorini, we were exhausted and specifically chose this hotel to relax, so this was very frustrating. I did call the front desk about the noise, but we were not offered any upgrade or room change. Additionally, the air conditioning was not working, and we couldn’t close the window due to the heat, which made the noise problem even worse. The bathroom also had an issue with the shower drain. Water accumulated quickly and overflowed into the toilet area, which was very uncomfortable. Overall, while the hotel looks nice and is in a great location, the lack of basic comfort and resolution to these issues made our stay far from what we expected."
