"The guy we dealt with to get a room and food was very hospitable… however the steaks were awful, there was no seasoning used, my wife ordered her well done. It was completely red from the inside. Mine was medium, rare as requested! A few of the wall plugs, didn’t work, the rug looked 100 years old very faded! The bedsheets were stained! The place needs a little more than just touchups on the paint which was done well, I love the vintage look. Even if that was kept, I think they should be some serious renovations done the place can make a lot more money. For the price we paid I am not complaining just being honest, the experience was great, but not well enough for us to come back, needless to say we will never get food from there again"

"The staff, especially Georgia in the restaurant, were lovely. Food was very good. The appointments in the room were old, tattered, stains on the carpet. If the room was as beautiful as the lobby, bar and restaurant it would be a 5 star review. As it is, lucky to be 4, more like 3.5. Used the pool, nice, sauna great, hot tub way too hot, couldn’t get in past our knees. Spa treatments were basic. Good manicure and pedicure. The massage was too light, even though I was told she could do a medium pressure. Pay the extra money for a RMT."

"Jennifer was an incredible host. Helpful, thoughtful, kind and very responsive. Incredible location. Stunning sunsets. Cottage shows significant wear and and tear since photos were taken. Deck needs to be replaced at a minimum."

"The Port Albert Inn was fantastic for a family reunion my wife and I arranged. It's an old inn that was originally built in 1843, and it has so much charm. It's not a 5-star modern hotel, but that's not why we picked it. There were plenty of bedrooms for our group of 12, and the large kitchen was perfect for whipping up a large breakfast for everyone. The outdoor grill was great for cooking our dinners as well.The owner was very communicative. He called right at the check-in time to let me know the place was ready and to give me a few instructions. Everything went smoothly all weekend with no issues.The inn was also a 10-15 minute walk to the beach, which was pretty secluded so we had plenty of space to ourselves on the beach.I would not hesitate to rent this place again for another family reunion."
