The Ham Wall National Nature Reserve, 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) west of Glastonbury, on the Somerset Levels in the valley of the River Brue in Somerset, England is managed by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds.

It is part of the Brue Valley Living Landscape conservation project. The project commenced in January 2009 and aims to restore, recreate and reconnect habitat. It aims to ensure that wildlife is enhanced and capable of sustaining itself in the face of climate change while guaranteeing farmers and other landowners can continue to use their land profitably. It is one of an increasing number of landscape scale conservation projects in the UK.

This new wetland habitat has been established from old peat diggings and now consists of areas of reedbed, wet scrub, open water and peripheral grassland and woodland. Many bird species live on or visit the site including the bearded tit, bittern, Cetti's warbler, hobby and starlin

Amazing hotel with fantastic staff.

"Arrived at the Holiday Inn Bristol Airport and found a blue badge space immediately, was pleased to be told it was a free parking space, instead of the £15 a day fee for other spaces. Reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was really lovely and clean, the only downside was it was very hot in the room, even with the air conditioning on (16 was lowest temp.) No windows to open and no other fans in room. Lovely extras were included free in the mini bar. The bar and restaurant staff were fantastic and a special thank you to our waiter called Love, he made us laugh while being professional and efficient at his job. The night reception staff kindly made us free cups of tea and coffee on our very frequent visits to smoke outside. The hotel was completely cashless which I wasn’t aware of and I didn’t really like the fact that you couldn’t choose to use cash, luckily we had bank cards on us or we would have been completely unprepared and would have gone hungry. Would definitely return. Only used as a hotel stop over for an early flight but would use again without question. A suggestion for fans in rooms would make it more of a comfortable stay for customers. Only took 8 mins to Blue Zone Parking at Bristol airport but would consider using the car park facility and transfer to and from the hotel in the future. It would also make a nice little holiday in itself and the amazing staff and service made it amazing."

"Nice hotel. My only complaint would be it's distance from Taunton town centre. It was a £10+ taxi journey each way if you don't have your own car, and very little close by within walking distance, other than a Harvester restaurant. Although there is a Sainsbury's and a cinema/bowling alley a short drive or medium walk away."
