"I didn’t actually get to stay there, thanks COVID you suck, but my friends tell me that the place was as described. Comfy and close to the pub, apparently that was a pre-requisite. Every group has that one guy who likes to complain mine said that the heating could be better but they live in a furnace so take that comment with a grain of salt. Next time I might be able to stay a night, but I need to say thanks on my mates behalf."

"Wonderful relaxing stay. Well appointed house and responsive and helpful hosts (who promptly responded to a message and dropped off a bit more wood for the fire). We really enjoyed the grounds, birdsong and quiet (no traffic noise) and log burner for the chilly weather. Will recommend to others."

"Wonderful unique home within the forest. Lovely comfortable home to enjoy no matter the weather, relaxing, and so enjoyable listening to the birds (the dawn chorus echoing through the forest was outstanding), the night sky was out of this world. "100m away from the mt somers general store, 2 minutes drive from the stavely store, not far from methven. close to the hakatere conservation park and right next to mt somers walkway. the house was very comfortable and beautifully cosy and equipped."
