"Stayed here overnight after visiting family in Derby , check in and out easy, friendly reception staff. Very clean accomodation , tea, coffee etc, bath with overhead shower, good thick towels the room was quiet cheap overnight at £43 pub/restaurant on site for breakfast and meals, mcdonalds 2 mins walk away. Good very clean comfortable good stay. "

"Generally a nice place to to stay. The evening meal was excellent, but unfortunately that was not the same for breakfast, most definitely the "worst" full english breakfast i have ever had, dont know how they had the audacity to serve it up!!! Will not be returning. "

"Big family room. Huge king size bed. Friendly welcome. Good pub grub for evening meal. Choice of continental or cooked breakfast available until 9.30. We slept well. Not too much noise at all from surrounding rooms. We were room 2 away from the main bar area so WiFi was a bit intermittent in the room but good in main pub area. A good stay for the money."

"We chose the hotel fairly randomly as we had a voucher to use. It is family owned and it is clear that the family and the staff put in a huge amount of effort to make everyone's stay as good as it can possibly be. It is really refreshing to see a hospitality business being run so well and making you feel so welcome after all the problems the industry has faced!"

"We enjoyed our short stay at the barn. The host Jackie was very friendly and kindly allowed us the use of a field to run the dogs, which we (and they) appreciated very much. There are also lovely walks from the property and Dovedale is only a short drive away. We would definitely return if we are ever up this way again. Thank you."
