Clara was so helpful and kind. Breakfast was great. We felt safe and well taken care of. Laundry service was affordable and fast. Zawadi House is a great value for the money. The rooms and bathrooms are due for some updates, but overall we enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic stay!

Wonderful place and fantastic food. We had to find a place to stay before an early AM flight and they were even able to arrange for a 4AM transfer to the airport. Highly recommended!

The grounds and common areas at the Zawadi House are absolutely beautiful, So peaceful and green. The rooms are average but definitely comfortable. Additionally the breakfast was great and included a small buffet of starters plus made to order eggs, etc. we enjoyed our 1 night stay here (before our safari) very much m.

Comfortable hotel in Arusha

The hotel was very nice with nice rooms and a good atmosphere and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast and diner were good. Definitely a good place to start or rest from your safari.

Perfect hotel for overnight stay before safari

Stayed here 2 nights, one before and one after a safari. The room was clean and the service was ok, however the price of the dinner varied a lot from one evening to another.

My Stay at Zawadi House was great. Great food, friendly staff, and in a quiet area surrounded by nature. My hosts took great care of me and catered to my personal needs whenever i asked, and even offered at times when i didn't ask. I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Arusha.

Our first night in Tanzania before the start of our safari. The hotel is set back from the main road but very pretty property with excellent service. Would def recommend for people coming through Arusha.

OUTSTANDING

My wife and I had a great stay at the Zawadi house. We were met at the reception by Yvonne, Nicholas, and Afti. We felt welcomed instantly. They did everything they could to make her stay comfortable and succeeded at every turn. I highly recommend this hotel and it's staff. If I get back to Arusha I will certainly stay there again.

It is a great place for a good night sleep before starting the safari. Very friendly staff! I forgot my reading glasses and they were delivered to me by the ever so friendly Emanual to my next connecting flight at Arusha airport. I liked my experience.

It was too overpriced for the room we got and for it’s 4-star renown. It needs renovation, specially the bath. Otherwise it has warm water, ok wi-fi. The staff are helpful to arrange a taxi.

Nothing Special

Hotel in a very secluded area. Not appropriate to leave the grounds for walking. Road to the Hotels is a dirt road through small narrow streets and in very poor condition, even for a 4x4. Staff were very pleasant, friendly and helpful but they do not have much experience with looking after guests. Food in the restaurant was average.

A good introduction to Tanzania.

A fairly small hotel that I think struggles with any unusual requests. Wifi didn't work with not much attempt to assist. The kitchen serves very nice food but 1 1/4 hours waiting for main meal was exhausting after a huge day. The staff are lovely and try there best with what they have.

Property is run down. It’s not what it looks like in the pictures. Also the reviews for this property appears to be bogus. In the USA this property would get a 1 star rating. No microwave or refrigerator in the room. Plus points are good service, clean and safe room

Very lovely boutique hotel

My time at Zawadi House Lodge was perfect. It is a very quiet establishment that proved to be a perfect place to recover from my long flights from Melbourne, Australia. The lodge is nestled in a suburb of Arusha and it is a little piece of paradise. The lush garden keeps the place nice and cool and the furnishings are very comfortable. There were tea and coffee making facilities in my room and the shower was high preasure and very hot (which was ideal). Bed was also very comfortable with lots of pillows. Breakfast was made fresh to order and was filling and tasty. I also dined in in the evening and enjoyed a variety of local dishes that were enoyable and of good value. Internet was also good, enabling mebto do some work on Xero. When i wanted to go in to town, staff (the lovely Regina) organised a trustworthy and reliable driver for me. The city centre is exceptionally busy and I was happy to be in a more peaceful and quiet location on the outskirts. The staff were all professional, friendly and exceptionally helpful.

I am telling you this little hotel is like finding Shangri-La!!! Everything about this jewel of a hotel in Arusha was amazing! The friendly, courteous & helpful staff was by far the biggest asset at Zawadi House Lodge. The room was perfect, cozy and clean. The food was extraordinary and creatively prepared. I had the receptionist find me a driver (Emmanuel) to take me to Arusha National Park to climb Mt Meru for a day hike. Emmanuel helped speed up my paperwork and before I knew it I was on a walking safari looking at giraffe, zebras, African buffalo etc.. It was the best day in Africa to have the Zawadi house arrange for my big adventure!!! I hated to check out. The whole staff came to say good-bye with a fun photo session before I left. I would highly recommend the Zawadi House Lodge to anyone!!!

Ok as transit hotel but not worth the price

We paid approx. $115 for 1 night which was way too much for this place. The staff is really nice but the room was not. Room smelt moldy and the carpet was really dirty.. A small dark room. Furthermore the location is in the middle of nowhere. Very bumpy road to get there. We had to push the car at one point. A landrover would do the job though.. Comparing with other great hotels we stayed at this was by far the worst (we also stayed at Z Hotel in Nungwi, Coffee House in Stone Town and Ngorogoro Farm House). In my opinion this should be a $50/night hotel.
