"The room is very spacious and clean. The private hot bath in the room is extremely comfortable. The 2nd floor cafe and roof top cafe are good places to have a chill drink and relax. I love the dinner menu while the breakfast has only limited choices. Staff are very polite and helpful. This hotel is definitely a good choice to relax!"

"The toilet bidet and the room light was not working. The staff offered a room change but we had already unpacked so we declined. But we did not expect the aircon was also not working and we opened one of the windows for fresh air but the noise from the rain heating the roofs made it worse! Did they give us the worst room? "The hotel had hot springs for the guest to use and the room was large, plenty of space to walk around which is not typical for most Japanese hotels. Room also had plenty of storage space and even had a patio looking over the waterfront. It's not a clear view of the waterfront but it's something. "

"Even thought the hotel is old, due to aging city's economy and population decrease, however it was well maintained and clean. Staff was very kind. The view from the hotel room looking at Shimabara castle was fantastic. Location is very convenient, close to the arcade shopping area although most stores weren't operating, close to samurai residential street and carp street. I'll definitely stay at this hotel again.
