Welcome to Casa Rio Del Mar! This 3 bedroom/2 bathroom home is located in the heart of Rio Del Mar in Aptos, and is just 4 houses from the beach path leading down to Rio Del Mar Beach (less than a 5 minute walk!). You can take a beautiful 10-15 minute walk down to the Esplanade at Rio Del Mar for lunch, dinner or a gorgeous sunset beach stroll!



Casa Rio Del Mar has a dramatic 2 story entrance – the light filled home will welcome you immediately upon arrival! The downstairs level features a large and open living room and dining area, connected to the kitchen. Down the hall are 2 bedrooms, both with queen beds, and a shared bathroom with Shower/Tub combo. The garage is available for parking a vehicle, and also houses the washer and dryer.



Enter upstairs to the reading nook; this quiet seating area is perfect for curling up with a good book! Attached is the Great Room – a massive Family/Entertainment room with a Smart TV, Kitchen and Bar, wood burning fireplace, tons of comfortable seating, and a deck with a grill and outdoor seating. Upstairs also features the Master Bathroom and the Master Bedroom with a King sized bed, and private terrace.



Additional Pet fees do apply, per pet. Dogs must not exceed 45lbs and must be more than 1 year old. If you feel your situation regarding your pet warrants reconsideration of these guidelines, please contact the Beachnest office.

  • Nice, long hike today. Went down the Bridge Creek Trail, and then to Maple Falls. About an 8-mile total hike. Redwoods everywhere you look, and a deep dark forest that gave lots of 'mood'. We came across a tiny snake! It was just a few inches long, red back, sunning itself on a rock in the middle of the creek.

Everything with the property just went well and as advertised. The house has a spacious layout with large comfortable rooms. The property was very clean and kept up, and the property manager provides timely and useful information. Located in a neat neighborhood and close to all town amenities, and beach access is right across the street!

Worked perfectly for a family visit. Beach access 1 block away. Beds comfortable. Everything supplied that you would need. Beautiful tv room with wood burning fireplace …extra kitchen. Great for family time. The only objection…. 4:00 PM check in— 10:00AM check out. Not reasonable. Would stay again

Love the location, can walk to the beach.and in a really nice nieghborhood. Liked having the extra living room and kitchenette upstairs for cooking prep and game nights ( even tho the stove top upstairs wasnt working while we were there. ) Main Kitchen is small but had plenty of pots and pans and cooking stuff.

I really wanted to love this property, because the top level of the house really is beautiful and great for relaxing, but the ease of stay and safety concerns made me drop 2 stars off my review. The first safety issue is that we arrived at night, and NO LIGHTS were left on for us. Not only that, but there is NO CELL SERVICE in or around the house. We had to leave and find service so that I could download the instructions and entry code, as well as the wifi login info. Second, the wall switches don't actually turn on any lights, so I was stumbling around in the dark trying to find the lamp knobs. Coupled with the fact that there are a few ill-placed steps, it is only a matter of time before someone else falls and sues. I tripped twice down these steps in the dark before finding the lamps, and luckily wasn't injured. One final safety concern is that the door from the upstairs master bedroom that leads to the outside deck does not lock. Personally, my biggest issue that upset me was that I rented this house based on the cover photo, which I now know had to have been taken with a drone, looking down on the house. I rented this thinking I could let my 93 yr old mom sit on a deck and look out at the ocean while I worked. Obviously my fault for not digging deeper, but that photo is really misleading. Communication with the property managers was sketchy at best. Sometimes they wrote back within an hour or two, but other questions I had were never answered.

This was a great house for my husband and I, three kids, and dog. There was lots of room and it was very clean and had all the things we needed for a long weekend. We appreciated having close access to a path down to the beach and a nice quiet neighborhood to relax in.

Great place to stay

Had a fantastic stay at 202 Kenneth. Walk-able (about 1/2 mile) to hidden beach park and a dog friendly beach. Beautiful path a block away to go steeply down to the beach. Very nicely appointed house. Good kitchen; small, but very functional. House was clean and orderly. Would recommend this spot for families to share.

Family trip

It was very nice. Clean, bigger than I expected. One suggestion-have a hair dryer for upstairs as well as downstairs bathroom. We will stay here again!

Gorgeous neighborhood, great for two couples

This two story home is in a great location. The second floor is almost self sufficient with a large living area and a mini kitchen. We were tortured by ants! I think an exterminator is in order. While there, there were issues with the upstairs toilet. A plumber was sent to no avail. The upstairs people had to use buckets to flush the toilet. We told the management company and they told us it would be dealt with after we checked out. The shower pressure downstairs was nonexistent. This may be considered being too picky, but, I really like a good cup of hot coffee. The downstairs coffee pot repeatedly produced weak lukewarm coffee no matter how much grounds we put in. The pot did not have an automatic shutoff- haven’t seen that in a long time. We didn’t know, and left it on by mistake. THERE IS SOME outdoor space but not much. Not really set up to be inviting or useful. all that being said, the price was good for that location. It doesn’t get any better than that neighborhood on the cliff while we were there. There was a giant art festival and we got to visit for artist studios right in the neighborhood. 4 old farts had a great time.

My husband, mother, dog and I had an amazing stay.the home was perfect for our needs and enough space to spread out. So close to the beach. Absolutely beautiful.

Great location, 5 minutes walk to the beach. Minor issues with cleanliness, required cleaning after arrival. Dishwasher was not cleaning properly, had to wash dishes by hand..

Family Spring break trip 2023

Amazing place to stay! We had 8 people in our party and we were so comfortable. Close to the beach in a private neighborhood. House is very well stalked. Thank you we will definitely be booking again. P.s Communication with them was prompt and answered all questions. Definitely a 10/10

We rented in Aptos to be nearer our daughter and son-in-law in Monterey. We are usually in Cambria. The rental process was very smooth. When we waffled on whether or not to stay for New Years, the owner was very understanding.

Can't ask for more it's awesome

Great location. Great house in a quite neighborhood. Perfect for my needs and will rent once a yr when my inlaws are in town. Please see if there is an issue with the dishwasher, I didn't use it but this year and last year it beeps every 5min and I dont know how to turn it off.

Large comfortable home on bluff above beach

Very clean. Nice neighborhood for walking. Very comfortable beds. Convenient to have washer-dryer and space for three cars. Trail to beach is close by but challenging with young children and beach gear. Comfortable living room and upstairs great room, with plexiglass on upper railing for child safety. Pellet BBQ and outdoor table on level above kitchen was a bit challenging. Kitchen very poorly stocked—few bowls, glasses, and pots and pans; we ended up buying paper plates rather than using the heavy plates. Prefer beach level location.

Perfect Getaway

Home was perfect for a family vacation. Plenty of room to spread out. Upstairs family room was spacious. A short walk to the beach in a very quiet neighborhood. My 4 year old grandson was in his glory. His last words as we were leaving: “I’m going to miss this place!”

Fabulous Aptos vacation

We had a wonderful holiday in Aptos with our family of 3 young men. The location is very close to the beach and the house had plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Plenty of seating and one giant TV that allowed for fun family movie nights. Will return again next year!
