Castle Green Hotel In Kendal, BW Premier Collection

"Although this hotel is basically surrounded by fields, at the outskirts of town and you need a car to get there, they charge 10 pounds for parking. Where else are you to park. That is corporate greed in my opinion. For breakfast my wife and I just wanted to purchase a coffee and a piece of toast or pastry. No such choice possible. It's either a full buffet breakfast for 18 pounds or nothing."

"Room was spotless and spacious. Large group in at breakfast time but staff coped very well. No towels in Spa so had to get some from room. Parking is overpriced considering room costs, only negative for us. Have been a few times now, and will return."

"It wouldn't really be right to single out just one aspect of this hotel as being superb. The truth is that every feature you would want to be top quality in an outstanding hotel was exactly that during our stay! Friendly, helpful and polite staff made for a relaxing stay. The breakfasts were very special; tasty food matched by the superb views!"

"It was an amazing experience to be in a real castle we chose a cheaper room so we didn’t have an en-suite but a beautiful bathroom in the corridor instead. The owners were so helpful and friendly and we had a very good quality evening meal with beautiful romantic piano music played by the manager and a history talk too. The owner was a beautiful lady who chatted to us in the bar area. We’d like to go again. Breakfast was good."
