"We stayed in 3 different properties during our trip, and while the property needs tic, the staff was amazing. We had a mishap with our inter island flight we were able to get in the night before, our room had the loft with 2 bedrooms and bathrooms and a great view. To top it off, bfast was included but we would miss it the day of our departure, but the arranged for us a lunch box which was a special gesture that most hotels don’t do! The property is a perfect location and has amazing potential...

"The Hotel Illa is a good budget place in Angra. The rooms were cleaned each day and a good basic breakfast is provided. It is right in the heart of the Old town and close to the Marina. The staff were great! The negatives: No parking, needs some maintenance (peeling paint, rough closing doors etc) Can also be noisy in the mornings with pigeons and sliding furniture and banging doors. Still a good choice if you are not looking a 5*"
