"What a wonderful stay we had at this villa! It is the cleanest and most well-stocked property we’ve ever rented. My son graduated from high school in May and got to pick our summer trip destination. He picked this property for the pool looking out to the ocean and the little slice of private beach. Magical. The owners were so helpful too. I highly recommend doing a “Welkom Dinner,” having them stock the fridge and pantry for you, and doing the private chef for a dinner and maybe even a breakfast/brunch. Definitely utilize the owners’ vast expertise. Having the palapa was such a unique experience too; such privacy on the edge of the water! We would love to return!"

"Great location and neighborhood. Arnold was a wonderful and attentive host. Easy walk to Baby and Rodger's beaches. Baby has become super busy; so just a heads up. The best part of our stay was hiking the Sero Colorado Plateau Trail and swimming at Boca Grandi Beach. Walk to the lighthouse and before getting there you will see a trail off to you left, down the cliff, and then a right on the road to the trail's beginning. There is really nothing food-wise in the neighborhood (there is a small convenience store for very basic needs that also rents bikes) so if you are cooking you will need to stock up. Ling and Sons is a great option over the very busy Super Foods. Highly recommend the rental."

"My sister, her partner and I had a absolutely glorious week at Martha's Place in Sint Nicolaas. The area was even more wonderful than we had originally imagined because of the quiet nature of her neighborhood and the proximity to two local beaches. The check-in process was excellent as Martha was very flexible on when we arrived and made sure that we knew all the ins and outs of the property once we made it there. The home was very clean and neat and comfortable and could be controlled with temperature even during hot days very very well. The seating area outside undercover was fantastic for late night book reading and chatting over a glass of wine. We had access to a washing machine and were able to hang all our clothes to dry as we needed it during the week. Martha provided other things such as beach chairs and towels which was very handy. The location was a little bit under sold because the proximity to the beach was literally a five minute walk down the hill and you could take a choice of either Baby Beach which was a much busier venue or Rodgers Beach where there was literally nobody. In comparison to the rest of the island we felt that this was by far the most favorable for us because of it's quiet and comfortable residential environment yet close to the beaches. This was our first time in Aruba and there's obviously some people that enjoyed the resort areas that are further up to the northern part of the island and that's not what we are looking for. "

"Ever had a stay somewhere where it was SO good, you don't know where to start the review? This is the challenge I have. So, I'll start with the owners.Cees and Ankie are the most gracious hosts you will find. We arrived later than planned due to a late flight. We grabbed some groceries (which they offered to pick up for us if we wanted). Ankie was there to meet us, walk us through the property and answer any questions we had. She even cooked the frozen pizzas we bought as I had forgot the property didn’t have an oven. The property itself is a perfect size for a family of 4. It comes with everything you'd need: silverware, dishes, pots, pans, glassware, towels, beach towels, etc. They have WiFi in the property which has plenty of bandwidth to handle multiple devices and a TV that has a decent amount of channels. There are AC units in each of the rooms which cool it down quickly and nicely. If you're looking to experience the REAL Aruba, you can't beat this location. It's in a quiet neighborhood and only a short 4-minute walk to Roger's Beach or a 3-minute drive to Baby Beach (you can walk this too). You WILL need a car at this property.Bottom line: If you're looking for a quiet, comfortable, perfectly located place with very responsive and kind owners...look no further. If I ever make it back to One Happy Island, I will be staying here again."
