Anchor Lodge Motel Coromandel

"The accommodations location is great. Very peaceful surroundings. Just need more and better dishes and cutlery in the room. It's helpful to have a BBQ. Two downsides are that when you are in the attached cabins with the single beds against the walls, you can hear people; the walls are very thin and having the big beds under the short curtains, it's too bright / the sun shines from that direction. My husband is a light sleeper and struggled to sleep. Not very nice when we were trying to have a relaxing, slow getaway. Definitely need longer curtains or move the bed away from the window above the head."

"We loved the location just over the road from the water. It was comfortable with everything we needed provided. Just a suggestion: something other than just TV would have been good. eg Netflix or sky movies."

"Car park was a struggle to get in and out of with not much backing room and turn space. Friendly staff just wished I hadn’t had to wait a while to get a fresh set of towels, seen a family waiting for a staff member was there for a long period of time. When arriving not properly greeted or instructed on how cleaning and everything works (or even telling us tourist about what’s around here and what activities are on etc)"

"We had 2 nights at this great place! The house was just what we were after, the most amazing views, warm and cosy with a real authentic kiwi bach feeling! The hosts were quick to response and more than happy to offer up fishing advice. The beach was just a short drive or walk down through beautiful farm land. Ending the day with dinner and a drink on the deck looking at the ocean was unreal,would absolutely recommend this place to friends and family hope to return in the future :)"
