"The apartment is spacious, clean, well-appointed with all the necessary equipment for a nice holiday and we slept well in a comfortable bed. The decoration is peaceful with charming personal touches. Milatos Beach, with its tavernas along the front, including one run by Kostas’ family, has more the laid back feel of the villages on the south coast. We can recommend the food at the family taverna and ate there frequently enjoying the very warm hospitality of the family. We would recommend it."

"We stayed here over Christmas and New Years for 16 days with our two sons aged 24 and 18. This is an authentic village house that has been renovated but has not lost its charm. "We had a wonderful stay in this charming house located close to the beach. The house was spotless and well stocked with all the amenities. The view from the balcony over an olive grove to the sea was great - we particularly enjoyed all our breakfasts, lunches and dinners there. Also, the host, Nikolaos Kopanakis, was exceptionally friendly and helpful. To sum up, the location is really perfect for spending a most relaxed and delightful time on the south side of Crete."

"Wi-Fi was down the entire time we were there. Not a huge deal but this was never disclosed to us until we asked. Seems like some information we could have be told up front. Bathroom was definitely not cleaned before our arrival. House is overall tired and needs some basic attention. Lots of lights that don’t work, shower was pretty dirty. Definitely more “rustic” than “traditional” The property is beautiful and we did enjoy our stay, just wish it was cleaner. "

Lovely daytime views of the Aegean Sea to the north across the valley below, but our favorite view was at night, looking straight up at the stars and the clearly visible Milky Way. "We absolutely loved our stay here and enjoyed the luxury suite. The cleanliness was fabulous and thorough each and every day. We did have to get taxis to and from the town which was €10. The reception was happy to organise these each day for us which was amazing. The pool and double sun loungers were also great with all day sun, capturing the Greek heat!
